Hidden AP Features

Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

I've heard that there are rules for honor in the Jade Regent series and rules for a changeling race in Carrion Crown. However, looking at the product description pages for the various books I can't tell which ones hold these rules.

I was also looking for the relationship/romance rules presented in Jade Regent, but discovered they are in the player's guide for that path. Which turned out to be a double bonus, as that guide also presents rules for caravan statistics, encounters, and conflict resolution.

In contrast, Kingmaker's #32 clearly states in the product description that it contains the rules for building settlements.

Is there a source which lists all of the hidden features of the various adventure path books and where they are to be found? I suspect that the honor and changeling rules may not be the only ones of interest.

Thank you for your help.

Changelings are in Haunting of Harrowstone

"Howl of the Carrion King" had a two-page throwaway thing that I liked a lot. At the end of the adventure it says something like, "Now assume that the PCs take the next year off." And then each player chooses what his PC concentrates on during that year. The list goes something like:

Business
Exploration
Adventure
Crime
Romance
Politics
Study

-- the player pics one, and it gives the PC some minor advantage or bonus. Like, business gives him a windfall of a few hundred gp and +1 on Knowledge (local), exploration means he finds a +1 magic weapon, and so forth. (The PCs are 3rd level at this point, so this would be meaningful.)

I thought this was a great idea, and have been waiting for someone to expand it into a more general "downtime" ruleset. Hasn't happened yet.

What else... well, "Edge of Anarchy" had the chase rules. These were later incorporated into the Gamemastery Guide, if memory serves.

The relationship rules are in the Player's Guide of Jade Regent, I think. I know the caravan rules are, but I think the relationship rules are in there or else they are in Brinewall Legacy.

Check the Player's Guide first, since it is free.

I do not remember seeing rules for honor anywhere, or even it really being mentioned. But like Aeshuura said, there are rules for Caravans and for relationships in the Jade Regent players guide. I have not read the guide yet, but I would imagine they are not hard to find in the guide. Similar to the Harrow Deck for Carrion Crown.

The rules for honor will be in this month's Dragon Empire's Primer, and they are based off of the reputation rules presented in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings book.
