Now, I somehow did not get picked for the GM position this time (Not really sure why, everybody liked the last Pathfinder Arc, the Second Darkness Campaign I ran them through, but I'm not complaining!) and I have been offered a position at the table.
Currently we've got five people, with two people angling for the Primary Caster positions, one person to be the Primary Face and one person aiming for Primary Melee Combatant, whom we have positively locked down as a Cavalier.
Now, I'm somewhat torn as to what role I should fill, and what Class I should use to do so. After the sheer unmitigated badassery of Skyrim I am leaning heavily towards a straight-up Barbarian, no archetypes, just run around and snipe with a Composite Longbow or cleave some skulls with a Battleaxe.
But we're likely going to have either a Bard or a Tactician Fighter as our 'face' and our two Primary Casters are currently dueling over who gets 'healing duties' (Dueling as in they've dragged out the old Xbox and are currently fighting it out via Phantom Crash, best 3/5) so I don't yet know if we're going to have three people capable of healing or just two and a boomstick/mind-controller.
So my other two options were an Archery-archetype Fighter or a Boreal Sorcerer.
Anyone have any suggestions? And I know this is a very slap-dash post with very little useful information. Just any advice from your own adventures would be greatly appreciated!

Alright, after some of the most drawn out mecha-combat I've ever seen, we've got our Cavalier (Order of the Star[Desna]) who will be taking the role of primary melee combatant and long-range scout, we've got a Sorcerer with the Destined Bloodline who will be our resident boomstick/illusory master, we have a Bard with the Songhealer archetype who will be doing the majority of the talking and we have an Enlightened Oracle of Time whom will probably shoulder half the healing and the majority of 'where do we go next' spellcasting shenanigans.
I've changed my mind a bit after witnessing the builds (and the bickering) and gone for a Rogue Bandit/Thug Archetypes build, and will be aiming for Rogue Talents like Survivalist that will enable me to be a halfway decent outdoorsman to help keep the party fed and secure in the wilds in addition to abilities that will help keep my Sneak Attack as strong as it can be and my melee abilities up to snuff.
Going to avoid TWF, I think, and focus on Two-Handed Sneak Attacks, stop snickering, just for a change.

Have you perchance happened to see my Rogue Thug/Scout build? It's most amusing for intimidation focused beatsticks i.e. Riddick (focus on Str/Cha) or Sweeney Todd types (focus on Dex/Cha), does good damage and good control (enemys run away from you) and best of all blooms early (most bennies by level 5).

Note: You probably will have an easier time if you actually use a sap as a weapon (or pick up a merciful greatclub, or the feat that allows you to use bludgeoning weapons to deal nonlethal damage), rather than unarmed strike.

I just checked it out, it looks awesome, but I must admit, I wish to take a cricketbat to you, good sir, for now I see it was your fault one of my players came at me with that particular build (albeit with his own take on it) and every time he used that little trick, he would yell "LORD MAKE MY PIMP-HAND STRONG!" (go to the very last panel).
"Okay, dude, we need your Rogue to quietly go up and take out that Guard."
"No worries .... CHAAAAAAARGE "LORD MAKE MY PIMP-HAND STRONG!" Bang!"
Me "....Yes. The Guards heard the battle-cry, but are currently laughing too hard to consider coming out into the snow to see what is going on."

Looking at the players guide for Jade Regent.
With allot of the AP just getting to where your going. The amount of time in dungeons is probably limited. That and I'm a big fan of Rogue/Ranger. Going with the standard Rogue XX/Ranger6. Gives the rogue the combat ability and out door skills need for a AP like this. Even if you just take a few level of rogue and every thing else ranger this still works.
