Silver Crusade 5/5

Honestly, it completely depends on the GM. Some of my favorite games... Quest for Perfection series, Frostfur Captives, Among the Gods...

Sovereign Court

GMing: Tide of Twilight, Penumbral Accords, Dawn of the Scarlet Sun, Voice in the Void

Playing: Sewer Dragons of Absalom, Goblinblood Dead, The Golden Serpent and Silent Tide was pretty cool with the musical interlude hilarity. ;)

I don't touch the gming stuff myself, but frostfur captives rocked as a player.

Dark Archive 2/5

The Cultist Kiss is a fun one (if you don't have someone that starts combat in a non combat incounter) i also enjoyed the Hersey of Man but we had a really good gm ;)

Silver Crusade 4/5

GMing: Silent Tide, Dawn of the Scarlet Sun, Infernal Vault, Intro 2 & 3.

Playing: QFP Trilogy, Blackros Matrimony, Cultist's kiss, Frostfur Captives, Among the gods...

Paul, I obviously missed the memo on this. Where do these numbers come from? And do you want APL south's numbers?

No worries. I extract all of the Faction points earned from each session that begins with "Asheville Pathfinder Lodge" or "APL". That includes all game-days at the WT and the DeckBox, and a few private games that are denoted as the APL, including the South Lodge.

I have ways of finding the numbers. (moo hoo hoo hah hah hah)

Go Grand Lodge!

-Dink

PS. Updated numbers coming soon from this past weekend!

Well, take note of High Noon, then, which is often used as part of APL South and mid week games at..... High noon.

Dark Archive 2/5

Luth, I can probably do Thursday too. Its gotta be low tier though, as all my other guys are 8 or 10. Probably a new guy.

Silver Crusade 5/5

Awesome! Need 2 more for a 1-2 at high noon at WT.... come kids, don't let uncle Luth down!!!

Grand Lodge 5/5 * Venture-Captain, New Zealand—Dunedin

By Erastil's snapped bowstrings, we have had a busy busy week!

Between the APL South, APL Shadow, and APL Grand Lodge dates from Thursday to Saturday last week, we ran 16 tables of PFS goodness! If I had known we were running that many games, I would've called it a convention.

As you may surmise, the faction counts were affected A LITTLE BIT:

UPDATED Faction Tally (as of 2/2/13)

10.) 17PP - Qadira

9.) 22PP - Taldor

8.) 30PP - Cheliax

7.) (tied) 44PP Sczarni, Grand Lodges

5.) 48PP - Shadow Lodge

4.) 49PP - Andoran

3.) 58PP - Silver Crusade

2.) 81PP - Lantern Lodge

1.) 82PP - Osirion

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Ah, good old "Uncle Luth" with the adult entertainment moustache... I can feel the childhood trauma just flowing back to me...

Silver Crusade 5/5

Wow. Just wow. We rock. You. Yes you there. You rock!

An, Friends of the Empire, it is always good to see you show your support. And to pull ahead of the Qadirans is an added bonus! We are close to overtaking those former members of the Empire who when faced with internal strife chose infernal masters. Let us show them how a true Empire is meant to function!

Well done and may your fortunes forever be bright. For Taldor!

Scarab Sages 1/5

The secrets of our long dead ancestors are starting to bear fruit, as Osirion roars to the lead! Glory be to the Ruby Prince! May he reign for a thousand years!

Liberty's Edge

Hey Luth, I am in for a high noon game Thursday.

Sovereign Court

<note to self ... stop applying credit to the Osirian GM PC ...> ;)

On a different keel, who amongst the APL is planning on going to PaizoCon in July? Paul and Jake I know are planning on it ... who else will be traveling to the PNW for some great Con gaming?

And those who are going, did you sign up to run anything? I just got confirmation for running 2 slots. Just wondering if there will be any other APL run tables out there.

I am. I just have to come up with the $$$ for the plane ticket and hotel room. And I'd run some games if I weren't allergic to it. So sad... I guess I'll just have to play in bunches of scenarios and sample some season 5's maybe...

Sovereign Court

I've seen plane tickets in the $490 range recently through KAYAK (this would be flying out of AVL with a departure of 7/3 and return of 7/8).

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Seriously, I might have signed up to run a few, but I really don't want to represent the whole lodge with my GMing skills (or lack thereof) at the mother church's convention. I want them to be like "Wow, those APL guys are industrial strength all the way! Dain GM's great and publishes stuff and the VC is a great character actor slash organizational wizard and that dude Jake knows our books better than we do and the other guy was good at... well he helped them carry their bags, I think. But what a great lodge they must have!" Rather than them saying "Yeah, the team shirts are cool, but what was up with that fourth guy? In the game he GMed, he showed me the stat block for the main monster in final encounter, asked me if a d8 was 'the square one' and then vomited in my lap. I bet all the rest of them are tools like him."

Grand Lodge 5/5 * Venture-Captain, New Zealand—Dunedin

I have signed up to be a Tier 1 GM, which means I'll be running 5 slots of games for PaizoCon. I gots to prepare my voice and polish up my accents.

-P

Paul, you should run the Blackros Matrimony and run it early in the con before you're wiped out by exhaustion. That scenario rocked. The folks at Paizo need to meet your Blackrosses and assembled guests!

Sovereign Court

Well you are the powerhouse GM, Paul. I do not envy you your voice by the end of the Con. Remember the throat lozenges between sessions ... or hot tea with honey ... or whatever home remedy works for you.

Yeeeeeeeeeah this makes the minimum!!!! We have 3, one more and I don't have to run an NPC.... Yes I know that rhymes ;)

Woohoo! Thanks!

Now, in the event that I make it through the next round, and get to compete in Round 4, could any of you give me a hand by play-testing an encounter this Saturday? I know you've got the PFS GM event going on, but if we could round up even one table-worth to run through the encounter a few times and work out all the kinks, that would be a huge help to me.

I'm not sure. But of course, I would have to see the Round 4 rules first, and those might not even be released for another week. It may be that the only weekend open for playtesting is when I'm at Con of the North. That would leave me open the morning and early afternoon of the 14th (my flight leaves from AVL at 4:30). I may have to get my brother to mobilize his Minneapolis/St. Paul crew to help instead...

I hope I'm not speaking out of place, but any help you may want from the AVL, we'll be glad to provide.

And is your brother Jiggy?

Yeah, Jiggy is my brother.

And when I first asked for help, I thought the rules for Round 4 would come out this week, but I now know it won't be until next week, so there's no way to prepare this weekend. However, my flight back from Con of the North on the 18th gets into Asheville at 4:00.
Depending on if and how much my brother's PFS group can playtest during Con of the North, that may be the best option (I've got work stuff I can't miss, and that may run late, on the Wednesday and Thursday before submissions are due).

Maybe my level 0 wizard, who has no spellbook, can help in playing up.

:)

Liberty's Edge

Follow me on to wealth, prosperity, piles of gold and powerful magic items......... Or an inglorious death, a meat bag full of broken bones. It will be a glorious adventure one way or the other. :)

I like this guy, "death or glory!"

Tier 1-2 is for wimps. :P

Sadly as wimpy as it sounds... legally 3 1st level characters can't play up... and if they did I can guarantee they would wipe in the maybe the first but DEFINITELY the second encounter.

Grand Lodge 5/5 * Venture-Captain, New Zealand—Dunedin

I have a zero level plumber from a Dungeon Crawl Classics game that could be a big help in a Tier 4-5 game. Is that Society legal?

(NOTE: it is NOT society legal)
