Alchemy (Su): Alchemists are not only masters of creating mundane alchemical substances such as alchemist's fire and smokesticks, but also of fashioning magical potion-like extracts in which they can store spell effects. In effect, an alchemist "prepares his spells" by mixing ingredients into a number of extracts, and then “casts” his spells by drinking the extract. When an alchemist creates an extract or bomb, he infuses the concoction with a tiny fraction of his own magical power—this enables the creation of powerful effects, but also binds the effects to the creator.

Putting on my PFS GM hat for a moment;
If you brought this question up before play (rather than springing it after play has started), I would appreciate that fact. However, I would prefer to not be put on the spot by someone asking for a ruling on some purely optional thing (a pearl of power is certainly not a requirement for a particular class the way a gun would be for a gunslinger) that's not clear in the rules. If it's not clear, just don't. If something is questionable, please don't force the issue, just refrain until we get an errata or a FAQ. Please ?
Aside:
Does using a Pearl of Power have an action cost above that needed to cast the spell ?
If I use a pearl to recall an already cast spell, but not cast it as I do, this is a <????> action. If I use a pearl of power recall AND CAST an already cast spell, is there an increased action cost above that required to cast the spell as if it had already been prepared normally?

From UE
This seemingly normal pearl of average size and luster is apotent aid to all spellcasters who prepare spells. Once per day on
command, a pearl of power enables the possessor to recall any
one spell that she had prepared and then cast that day. The spell
is then prepared again, just as if it had not been cast. The spell
must be of a particular level, depending on the pearl. Different
pearls exist for recalling one spell per day of each level from 1st
through 9th and for the recall of two spells per day (each of a
different level, 6th or lower).

Form a GMing point of view the more folk that can use items the better the items is. I do not want to give you 2 item that do the same thing but one only list A and other work for just one class. It mean I will be lesslikely to give out the one for just one class. I like and peffer the idea that one pearl work for all.
