OK so I just got done playing Fable(again) and thought I need to make the Sword of Aeons for pathfinder. I am currently running a game and was planning on using the Seven Swords of Sin module and thought the sword of aeons would make a great plot hook for the next adventure.
So here is what I was thinking for the swords powers
1) grant wielder fast healing 3 when wielded (doubles natural healing when not in use)
2) standard Keen enchantment.
3) have it be made so the it was both silver & adamantine.
4) Have it act as if it was all four types of rings of wizardry.
I was thinking of having it be a long sword
Any feedback would be great.

Reference for those wondering.
Instead of wizardry, let the wielder once per day cast one spell they have prepared or known, much like an Arcane Bond.
Make it +4 so it bypasses both adamantine and silver DR.

I DM'd a campaign that started with the SSoS Module and went to lvl 20 with the party searching the world for (and awakening) the other six swords. I custom made all the swords and ill tell you, its harder to balance than youd think...one fighter with Wrath butchered encounters.
Moral of the story: Dont make the swords as cool as you want them to be. lol. find ways for your group to slowly unlock each sword's powers one at a time.

i had looked through Wizards WoL and found that i hated the idea of having to shell our more gp & xp just to get a standard sword to be cool. Just look at the way they handled the weapons from white plume mountain...those weapons where mega cool in 2nd ed.,then they reworked them in 3.5 using the rules in that book. Read it once, weapons that should be really cool for a 15-17 lvl adventure are only +1 or +2 (some type of energy burst) weapons.....by that time most PC's have weapons better than that already why go the trouble to hunt down 4 more.
@Cheapy: i get what your hinting at ...how does this sound the sword only doubles a casters (divine or arcane) bonus spell slots from high ability scores.

Even with weapons of legacy we never took it as a whole. Largely the xp requirements and the sacrifices were ignored, because really? Get a +5 weapon but suffer a permanent -3 to attack couple that with the prestige they presented to bond you better with it and you suffered an overall power loss. But just with the powers and scaling it should be fine.
