So, after going over Seven days to the Grave, I keep giving serious thought to this game-hack:

What if the blood veil makes you come back as a Zombie?

I actually hate Zombies, and the whole genre, but my players LOVE the things, so I keep thinking: What if Pathfinder #8 was about a Zombie Apocalypse instead of a plagued city? What would change?

Just throwing out the idea ball to be bounced around.

I think it could work just fine. My players are still in Edge of Anarchy, but I have read through Seven Days to the Grave and I can't think of anything critical encounters that would have to be changed. I could be forgetting something though.

I think you'd just have to add some more encounters with zombies, maybe increase the presence of the clerics of Pharasma, working with the Hellknights, running around trying to take care of all the zombies. I might also include a little subplot/adventure where some cleric of the Evil Deity Doesntmatter is controlling zombies and using them to rob/pillage/wreck mayhem.

I'd also put some zombies in the Temple of Urgathoa and maybe some tied up or otherwise constrained from making too much trouble in the room above the temple where the Queen's Physicians are supposedly "healing."


If I recall correctly, that is an experiment Rolth is working on in the adventure.
