The requirements for Holy Vindicator say that you must have the Channel Energy Class Feature.

For an Oracle, the Class Feature is actually called "Mystery", not Channel Energy. The Mystery selection grants additional powers, one of which is the ability to Channel Energy.

Are they same thing?

I can see an argument either way. However, I would say if a GM says no, then he is probably just being a control freak. It is close enough, as far as I am concerned.

It could also be said that the mystery allows the oracle to gain the Channel Energy class feature.

Strictly RAW, no. Oracle grants "Channel", while the class specifically states that you need "Channel Energy" to enter. RAI, though, I'd say absolutely.
