I understand the kingdom-running system a bit, as per the Jon Brazer product (which contains the rules apart from the campaign stuff), and I honestly don't see my character (or any kind of kingdom) withdrawing gold from the treasury. It's extremely expensive and inefficient and, most importantly, really pisses people off (and if I understood the phase rules well, will cost at least one more BP on the next round as the kingdom will have to reduce the unrest gained instead of generating an extra BP from the Stability check).
Resuming, it would cost a LOT (Unrest, +1 BP to deal with the unrest) to gain VERY little, and it would damage the kingdom quite a lot. I say we be done with that rule just to avoid the temptation anyway :)
I would do away with withdrawing from kingdom funds anyway yes- but even without those withdrawals its still doubling your wealth to allow all the crafting feats to save you 50% on your gear.

Lukan Swane "Swaney" |

Cities have a maximum base value- want your favourite sword upgraded or buy a powerful weapon you have specialised in? Won't be happening later because its value is too high- without some item creation feats your completely at the mercy of your magic item slots just happening to hit the right combination of d100 rolls to produce an item you'd like. You won't be able to simply buy a +3 item- you'll have to hope it gets rolled.
With all the downtime thats available in Kingmaker(YEARS) item creation feats in a 6 player group is essentially a few feats among six characters in order to effectively DOUBLE your wealth by level. Thats not a cost, its an absolute no brainer. Wealth by level is partially used to determine CR and you would simply stomp through the AP with double wealth.
The feats aren't useless- but if you still want to see them that way then... don't take them? None of you get compulsary item creation feats anyway.
Gotcha. The feats are not completely thrown out the window. Had to do some research on it: my local GM does some different things with cities. Apparently they don't have as much magical items as I initially thought. Poor bastards. It's amazing how one would have to go into a different plane to purchase items over about a +3 enhancement. I'm sure there could be some way to commission items with a higher enchantment, but that may prove difficult. Restov has 7th level spell casting, maybe there would be a caster there that could craft magic items?
Anyways, thought I would at least try to get a little more value out of the feats while tackling the time problem with the solution I posted above, but 6 years adds up. Are the magic item creation feats addressed anywhere in the AP?
DM Aron, is the leadership feat still available?
EDIT: With the solution I proposed above, after 6 years the enchanter would have accumulated an extra 78,210 gold. About an 8% increase in wealth at level 20.

DM Aron Marczylo |

No to leadership feat. You could bring one of your diplomats with you like a follower, however it would be unwise as if they die it'll mess up your KM stats.

I gave in and got it for the Xbox 360. After trading in some old games at gamestop it only cost me 10 bucks =).

Good deal. For some horrifying reason I decided to take some overtime tonight so I get to sit and read the messages my girlfriend sends me from home about it. It's cruel.
I did get two hours with it before I had to leave for work. It was pretty incredible.

Sorry to hear about the test, but it might've turned out better than you think, though that's just me being always optimistic.

Whenever I feel horrible about a test I usually did really well, but when I feel really good about the test I usually do worse. Good luck to you. What are you applying for?

Wellm, can't remember if I said I was on my way back home on the 17th and wouldn't be back home until 18th late, but that's basically what happened :P Damn planes.
Basically the time for flights were stupid. Odessa - Kiev I arrive at 20:00 pmish and then the net flight would be Kiev - London taking off at 11:20 so had to spend the day there, luckily there was someone to stay with, but as you can see that meant my travelling took longer than it should.
Also the coach on the way back was delayed for a hour.
Yesterday I have no excuse beyond picking up saints row the third and blasting people away :p Aweful fun but of course I'm always here watching :). Got the files I took with me so I could remember what time and what Oleg's budget was.

It was good to be away from the family. As I'm sure you all know family can drive you CRAZY! The flights were a bit of a pain going out as the belts were tighter, yet on the way in they had enough length for my...girth.
Was great seeing Alex again and though I admit I was a pain in the ass, as I am picky with my food and there was of course the language barrier, but got through it thanks to Alina and I learnt only 1 word, but it was a good word to learn as I use it a lot (thank you). Though the only russian word I knew already was Dos-badania (most likely spelt incorrectly) and that's just because I heard Tim Curry say it in C&C: Red Alert 3.
Had a lot of fun, ended up buying a few indie games on steam and amazed at how faster their internet went. They don't have any download restrictions or monitoring and it's all pay-as-you-go. Not ot mention it's pretty damn instant as almost as soon as they topped it up before returning home the internet was back on. Some of the heaviest download games were downloaded in a matter or minutes.
So yeah bottom line I definantly had fun. It was just the travel that was a pain in the ass.
Also, the passport boarders are kinda offensive when you are leaving the country. On the way in the list of points were: Ukrainian Citizens, non-citizins with Visas, non-citivins without visas.
Yes on the way out it was a simple, yet somewhat offensive two lists: "Ukrainian Citizens" and "Forigners". the second one seeming almost like they're proud to see you on your way out of their country in hopes to never return :p.

Hmm what kind of food do they have over there? Probably a lot of potato dishes I'd imagine? That's interesting about the internet. I suppose the pay-as-you-go limits a lot of the bandwidth issues. Works great until the Russians hack it =P.
Steam is just downright amazing. It is a gamers dream. I love picking up an old game for 1-5 bucks and playing it again. They also have some amazing deals too, especially when they do their summer thing.

Well a lot of healthy food and stuff, great place if you want to diet and change your eating habbits too.
I agree with steam. bought the entire x-com series for like £6 but I think it's actually gone down which is unbelievable. Also when Skyrim came out they were selling Oblivion for 75% off. It's insane how cheap it is at times.
There are a lot of indy games that look like a lot of fun and even though they may not be the top games out, in many cases they're far superior, especially in story and it's nice to see a new game that isn't another game like modern warfare or battlefield type games that I personally find quite bored of.
I bought a few indy games because they were going on sale, I admit because they also have a weekend deal where a game is REALLY cheap and a free trail of a full game to see what it's like and if you'd like it or not.

Oh wow, they were offering free trails? Speaking of free trails I played some Star Wars the Old Republic a week or so ago. Stopped playing it about an hour and a half into it. Very story oriented and I didn't want to ruin the game for myself if I did decide to buy it.

I think that was actually the slug queen's royal jelly, but in the second abe game there are these little creatures that look like green leeches that were such a addictive beverage the corperation was able to take many of his people back as slaves due to their addiction.

I've only seen it on sky, but that's probably because i like in the UK. I remember there was meant to be a new series of futurama planed and I swear I've seen a few as well as the movies, including the awesome film where they enter that fantasy universe with the "Gysers of Gygax".
I liked the episode where Bender gets lost in space and ends up having a species of humanoids growing on him and he runs into a being that neither confirms nor denies to being god and at the end says
"If you do things for people, they will never realise you did anything at all." or something along those lines.
Going back to the slurm episode, was very funny when talking about it being a dark secret.
Fry "What if it's, people!"
Leela "No, they already have a drink for that"
Fry "What's it like?"
Leela "It's different from person-to-person

Hahaha, that show is great. All of the episodes are on netflix and a couple of the movies. My 3 year old daughter always sees it when I am scrolling through my choices and says, "Daddy, want to watch Beebop." She calls robots beebops for some reason... But anywho, for some reason just looking at the box-cover she loves Bender =P I may have watched an episode or two when she was around at age 2... guess even though they don't seem like they are absorbing anything, they soak it all up. Oh well, I got a spare daughter if I mess up on the first one =P

It's no biggy. I wasn't sure how far away we were but if we stand out ground and pepper them with ranged attacks for the first couple of turns we should be golden. Besides, most dragons have obscene perception scores and I'd have to be within 30ft to get any SA so it's probably for the best I didn't go solo.
