You go ahead and kill these guys, I'll probably last one more round.
LOL is that sarcasm?
I'm just thinking how awesome a color spray would have been in the middle of all of them. Then again, how un-awesome it would be if it failed and the wizard was standing there with a "Oh Crap" look on his face =P
Lukan Swane "Swaney"
I'd help you Bron, but I think I would just make things worse and probably get killed in the process =P Hopefully you rolled a 10 or higher on your stabalize roll...
Tholamin Medvyed
So, question. Do I have to make a heal check to see if Bron is dead, or can I tell that?
I figure I'll try to cure him anyway, which is an automatic stabilize, but I was curious if you need to make the check just to see if he's alive. A successful first aid results in stabilizing.
You know you cant move take an action then keep moving its move move action done then standard action lol theres a feat later on that lets you do that but thought id let you know
DM Aron Marczylo
Miss Fail Miss ah dice you are cruel mistresses
yeah, she is a cruel one. In CotCT I was fighting the group with clerics that thought they were fighters (basically what my friend says as he hates clerics who charge into battle by themselves and think they're tanks) and I kept rolling low. Even with all the buffs like bull's strength, magic weapon, divine favour and the weapon being masterworked it didn't harm them. Only time I harmed someone was with a bleeding touch.
couldn't get above 15 even with +8 to the bonus.
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain
Yessir, Power Attack covers all attack rolls you make in a round so you'll take the -1 with your confirm roll and add the +2 to the damage.
Well done! That turd had it coming
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain
My vote is that we need to question one. if anyone has a decent heal check we can try to stabilize one of the many people bleeding out. They don't need to be "alive" in the classic sense to be questioned.
To answer your question, go for it! In my character's eyes these bandits are all as good as dead, whether or not they answer our questions.
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain
Tholamin - Its a free action to talk in combat. I'm not sure if when you wrote "Cambyl we need you over here" you meant for that to be your turn or not.
Things got a little muddy cuz Cambyl posted his action out of order because he may not be able to do it later. Right now its Lukan's turn, then Bron (provided he's still alive), then Cambyl, and so on.
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain
Idk how we plan to split treasure/rewards and whatnot but I would like to put a request in for Happs' bow. Its a composite longbow +2 STR. Cambyl and Lukan are the only others with proficiency and a high enough STR score to use it.
Its worth 300g new so it'd sell for 150g. I'd be more than happy to subtract that from my share of profits.
This may actually be a good time to talk about how we handle looting. Not in game though, Ganits gonna go start some $#&! with Oleg...
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain
Communists wages are good with me. We can add up the resale value of loot we gather and cut it 6 ways. If there's an item that a player wants that is worth more than his cut he can cover the difference with his money.
Sound fair?
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain
Loot:
Bandits:
6 sets of leather armour
6 longbows
120 arrows
6 shortswords
12 days worth of rations
60 gpHapps:
2 Alchemist's fire
Studded Leather Armour
Dagger
Longsword
masterwork composite bow (+2 Str)
20 arrows
2 days rations
Silver Stag Lord Amulet (worth 20 gp)
50 gp
6 Leather Armour - 10gp x6 = 60gp
6 Longbows - 75gp x6 = 450gp7 (20) Arrows - 1gp x7 = 7gp
6 shortswords - 10gp x6 = 60gp
14 days rations - 5sp x 14 = 7gp
2 Alchemist's fire - 20gp x2 = 40gp
Studded Leather Armour - 25gp
Dagger = 2gp
Longsword = 15gp
mwk composite bow (+2 Str) = 600gp
Silver Stag Lord Amulet = 20gp
70gp
Total: 1356gp
DM Aron Marczylo
Ganit none of that stuff will be sold at full price, itll all be at half
actually the silver stag amulet will be sold for full price because it's a valuable, but you are correct about everything else. Generally gear like weapons and armour ect are sold at half-price second-hand to NPCs.
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain
1356 - 70 = 1286. I left at full just in case we had a creative "face" who's adept at bartering. Maybe instead of 50% he could get us something like 55% or 60%. 70 + what ever deal we settle with ;)
Lukan Swane "Swaney"
We should hang on to the amulet. I think they were mentioned on the board. Perhaps we could get a larger reward if we turn them in rather than sell them?
That sounds like a fair loot distribution system Ganit.

The board was a mistake on my behalf. It's not there quite yet actually :p just me reading too far ahead.
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain
Just posting to say I agree with the loot system proposed; will just suggest we get some of that cash and invest into a healing item asap (maybe a CLW wand). The cost would be taken off the total treasure, so everyone would contribute a bit for it.
Sounds good?
Sounds incredibly good! The only problem I see is that we'll need to find a place that sells them. We have the inventory of Oleg's supplies and there were only 2 potions. Oleg mentioned a "Bokken" who sold potions but idk if anyone but Ganit was in ear shot of that.
If you're asks Oleg I'm sure he could send us in the right direction. I feel bad hogging up the RP time at the moment so I'll hang back while the rest of you get some spotlight with the NPC's.

should've read ahead.
Anyway, Oleg will buy the stuff off all of you for the maximum price.

Also I thought Ganit was taking the bow. Not my place to say but the damage you could do with that bow could potentially be far more than just you're normal longbow.
DM Aron Marczylo
We should keep the bow and the amulet, sell the rest.
question, how likely is it we will get to lvl 20 in this AP?
I'm hoping to continue the AP after it's drop off point as all APs end at level 17, but there's content to suggest continuation which I'll be using.
DM Aron Marczylo
YES!
lol happy with that I see. There is a CR 25 creature that I'd like to see you guys tackle, but that's years in the making.
Cambyl
Hmm, the reason I ask is that Oracle is not the best class to multiclass with. Cambyl wasn't really built to be a main healer either, as with the battle mystery, it's all about the swordplay.
I don't mind being the main healer for this group, but I might request retooling into a Cleric from the start. It wouldn't change the character much from a Roleplaying perspective, but would make the job of main healing more enjoyable, with the dip into swordplay rather than the other way around.
Unless, of course, you want us to have the challenge of not having a main healer :).

A healer would be an invaluable asset to this group. Judging from what I have seen, I don't think this AP is too friendly to characters that aren't optimized towards a specific combat role, and I wonder how much 'Swordplay' you will get to enjoy in this campaign. Please play what you enjoy though. Having a disgruntle group member forced into a role they don't want to be in is no fun.

LOL, by that time we will hopefully have an army to help us out =)

You're techniclaly the main healer anyway, right? I don't think a cleric would give you muchn besides channel energy.
If you really want the change then I'll allow it, but are you really sure you want the change? Afterall, you get more spell slots than a cleric and I'd hate to see you wanting to change you're character just for the sake of the team.
DM Aron Marczylo
btw just curious, i know we prob wont lvl from the first encounter but how much experiance each do we get?
not much. I had some miscommunication or what everyone else calls "idiocy" on my behalf. I stupidly added extra bandits to the encounter so there were meant to be only 4, not 6...oops.
So with the xp as it's supposed to be (otherwise the entire campaign has exp being thrown out the window) it should be 156 xp per character. As an apology you guys can have two extra potions of cure light wounds for my f$+~ up.
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain
Woohoo!! Bring on epic levels!!
I was also thinking of a slight adjustment to my PC. Basically changing out the trapper archetype and just going core Ranger. If i did that I'd be able to keep my spells so I'd be able to keep a cure wounds wand on hand after we gain a few levels. The only difference there would be at this point is trap sense and we haven't really gone out exploring yet. I plan to take levels in Rogue so I'd get that back anyway.
So DM Aron, is it too late to perform minor edits to our PC's? Also I was planning to take the bow, I added it in there for the total loot value. Should I add the 8 horses (6 bandits, Happs, supplies) and the stuff Oleg just handed us to those numbers as well?
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain
He has a deep dark past that I'm working on offhand. Other than that, he often works as a tracker in a small portion of the boarderlands that he feels comfortable enough going into. This covers anything from finding lost children to escaping criminals. Also he's been selling his talents to help people get through parts of forests he's familiar with, basically a glorified guide/guard. He may be self sufficient enough to hunt random small animals but he understands the ways and means of interlopers in his neck of the woods. Ranger can be developed into so many little offshoots I figured I'd imagine him with a handful of out-of-combat talents, which is why his survival skill is obscene.
Cambyl
After reviewing some things, I realized I wasn't even proficient with a Rapier due to an error on my part, so switching to cleric fixes that as well :). I've updated my profile as a more appropriate healer with a quirk.
With your approval waiting, of course, DM Aron, I created a new Trait to fit the character. It is modeled after half of the Cosmopolitan feat in the APG that gives 2 languages and 2 class skills:
Mystic Battle Cry
In your youth you were trained in combat by an intriguing character utilizing a foreign style. His teachings included intimidating cries in a tongue you were forced to learn. You learned the language but never quite understood its necessity.
Benefit:
You can speak and read one additional language which you prefer in battle. In addition, choose one INT, WIS or CHA based skill. It is always a class skill for you.
If you prefer I won't use it, but I've been enjoying the oddities of speaking celestial in battle :).
Lukan Swane "Swaney"
I'm just teasing and givin' ya a hard time cause you want to save this bandit =). A deep dark secret eh? Sounds interesting - makes me wonder if Ganit was a bad-guy in the past since he wants to give this bandit fella a chance.
