I'm thinking of running a Pathfinder PbP set in either the world of Athas or Krynn.
Let me know if you're interested in playing either (and which one).
I'll base it off the preferences to decide which one I run.
Also, if your vote is for DragonLance let me know whether you would prefer during the War of the Lance, Post WotL, or Post War of Souls. I won't run the Fifth Age stuff (pre-war of souls with all the Gods missing).
After a campaign has been determined, I will introduce the character creation guidelines. Though I will say, that regardless of game, ability scores will be rolled.
Also, I tend to run a little sandbox style, and prefer a lot of dialogue between Characters.

I eagerly leap like a seal towards sardines at any opportunity to associate myself with Dark Suns in any way.

I agree I have wanted to play Dark Sun for a long time.

I just thought of this, but there isn't Pathfinder mechanics for Psionics is there?
Is there a GOOD 3PP for Psionics out there? I might have to look into that, completely spaced that aspect of Dark Sun.
Psionics Unleashed by Dreamscarred Press...Unbelievably good.

I too would love to journey into Athas with Pathfinder (Although Krynn would be interesting too...). :)
I also agree that Psionics Unleashed would be a needed part for the Psionics because Dreamscarred Press appears to have done an extraordinary job of updating Psi from 3.5 to PF.

I looked over the Psi stuff, and considering it is mostly an PF updated version of the 3.5 stuff. The learning curve will be easy.
This is mainly a 'who's interested' thread. Once I see what the preference is, I will move over to recruitment.
Recruitment will NOT be first come first served. Unfamiliarity with either world will not be a hindrance for selection, but I suggest at least getting an idea of the nature of magic in both campaigns.
The moons and their relevance in Dragonlance, or the Preserving and Defiling in Dark Sun, depending on which game ends up being run.
A heads up, I'm a fairly strict GM as far as what is or isn't allowed (not a lot of monster races unless they are core to the world i.e. Minotaur in Krynn, or Thri-Kreen in Athas). I'm also pretty rules strict (encumbrance and food/water must be tracked).

Nice! I like rules strict :)

Careful, I'm weak against people agreeing with me. ;)
Oh, also I'm not an overly effective optimizer, so I would rather the characters not force me to do A LOT of work to keep up with their power level.
Oh well I am an optimizer but I'm not a power gamer. I like to make effective characters for what they do but I don't break the game.

I just opened the recruitment thread, sorry for the move, but please apply with your character concept there.
