The target gains a +1 competence bonus per five caster levels (maximum +3 bonus)
What bonus is granted by a Bard who is level 1 to 4?
I assume a minimum of one. It'd be pretty stupid otherwise.
The spell could mean to be:
"a +1 competence bonus per five caster levels (minimum +1 bonus, maximum +3 bonus)"
or it could mean to be:
"a +1 competence bonus +1 per five caster levels (maximum +3 bonus)"
I'd assume the former too, but either way it needs errata.
