Boiling Blood from Ultimate Magus deals 1 fire damage per round to your targets if they fail a Fortitude save. The duration is concentration + 1 round/level.
I'm picturing a spellcaster using this spell from long range in conjunction with an invisibility effect and overland flight.
Short of having fire resistance, the poor targets never stood a chance.
Does this seem particularly wicked to anyone else?

One of my players posted the particulars of this spell to me. I was groovin' on it. Right up until the last two lines.
For some reason, when an orc's blood boils he gets a Strength bonus instead? What?
Is there some sort of fluff I'm unaware of whereby orcs are 'hot-blooded' (as opposed to warm-blooded or cold-blooded)? Or did the designer just randomly throw a weird cornercase on the spell because "orcs are just that awesome"? If so, why not any other traditionally "rambunctious" race like ogres, or minotaurs, or anything with ferocity?
