Honestly, some paladins would be downright appreciated by workers in that trade. Some less so.

Every paladin is different. No two paladins are the same.

Oh, I have a matching quote!

Mal: "Jayne, your mouth is talking. You might wanna look to that."

Well, thanks again for yet more input guys!

it seems that my best option is probably to simply shelf the paladin class for this character. Dragonborn as a race already have a pretty paladin-ish mindset, i suppose that's enough.

In one of my many versions of her, she was a warblade, and i always liked that one. She specialised in the tiger claw Jump attacks, so she was basically a Dragoon from Final Fantasy!

Oh yeah, i just thought. If anyone is interested, here is a link to the picture i drew of her, too! Hope you guys like it as much as i do!

I'll never say that a Paladin MUST be a stick in the mud, or MUST be Judge Dredd. On the other hand, he shouldn't be a California Surfer Dude either. Given that there is room for a fairly wide spectrum, but it's very likely that there isn't a Paladin that would fit at all with the group as the OP describes.
