Just an FYI:

2 of us in my group tried to save our lottery picks yesterday, only to find this morning that just one of our event ratings had actually been saved. So I don't know why that is, but people might want to double-check their sign-up to make sure it looks the way they want it to.

Calandra, can you send me an email to let me know whose events did not get saved? I'd like to look into this. My email address is ross.byers@paizo.com.

Hey there Ross - I don't detect anything wrong with my settings, but I'm getting this message when I save:

"You have signed up for two or more events that conflict with each other."

"Your registration for these events will not be counted until the conflict is resolved."

I searched for everything that says "Conflicts" (with my PFS games), all are set to 0.

Turns out odd things happen when an event is marked as ending before it begins. You should be all set now.

Er, will it not count the registration if I put a 4 on an event at 1 PM and a 3 on one at the same time? Is that what 'conflict' refers to? Because I need a backup in case I miss out on the top one.

I assume that I'm wrong here, but I really don't want to find out that I ruined my chance to get any of my favorite events because of that assumption. :P

You're doing exactly what the lottery is for - giving events during the same time slot different ratings.

The lottery won't assign you to more than one event per slot, so you're good.

All GM's for non-PFS events have now been added to the system. :)

Quick question:

We know event lottery signup will close today.

When does the actual random selection process begin? More importantly, when will we see our resulting schedules and which events we were lucky enough to 'win'?

Thanks!!!

The plan right now is to collect the data and run the numbers on Monday. I'll have to check with Ross as to when exactly people will know the results.

The lottery results should appear on Monday at 2pm, at the same time that Open Registration opens.

I'm not currently showing any conflicts on your account.

Okay, good.

I checked it just now, and saw nothing but a big blank for my schedule, and had a terrible premonition that I had somehow screwed up and not had my requests go through (this is exactly the kind of thing that I am likely to do, and the kind of thing that is likely to happen to me, based on my experience, heheh). At the very least, while I may still have screwed up, it's good to know that there isn't supposed to be anything there yet. Thanks.

While the PFS events aren't included in the lottery I've added all of the volunteer information so the lottery will take into account your volunteer schedule and compare it to the master schedule of events. If you've volunteered to run an event you can check out your schedule via the GM/Events tab in the PFS section of the site.

The non-PFS game I am running does not show up on my schedule. Also it is scheduled until 1 (as Deidre pointed out) though the next set of things (including lots of my 4's :) begin at 12. Is that correct? I really will have room for a 5 hour lunch :)

Should I sign up or not for any of the cool stuff starting at noon?

I'll prod Hyrum about getting events added to the GM's schedule for the fan-run events. In the meantime, please don't enter lottery picks for events you know you won't be able to attend.

I just realized I snafued my Friday schedule entries. I'm running games in the morning and evening slots, but signed up for the lottery for the afternoon slot despite the tail of the morning slot overlapping.

The software will hopefully catch it anyway, but if not, please just put my preference for all of the Friday 12-5 afternoon games down to "0" as showing up fashionably late would be rude to the GMs and bobbing my morning game short would be rude to the players.
