Product Discussion

I am looking for a product that takes spells for example, and lists the many ways that spell could be used, essentially a strategy guide for spells. Or a strategy guide on feats. I get the basic ones and how they are used, for example cleave, but other feats and unique ways they could be used. Also, maybe a strategy guide on magic items, a portable hole holds things, but how it could be used for a trap. Some of this I have seen when Paizo does their revisited series, but a whole book on it would be pretty cool. If this has been done before, maybe someone could point me in the correct direction.

The closest thing I can think of is Tricky Owlbear's Behind the Spells series (note that they're for 3.5, and haven't been updated for the Pathfinder RPG).

I was going to suggest the same (for obvious reasons). :)

However, I don't think it's quite what jwood is looking for. That said, if you (jwood) would like to sample one of the pdfs from the series (the PF modifications are pretty minor, if any) I'll set you up with your choice. Email me at: bret.boyd@trickyowlbear.com

There was book called "The Power Gamer's 3.5 Wizard Strategy Guide". I don't have it, but if you read some reviews it might be what you are looking for.

Well then..perhaps that is something that needs to be created. by an enterprising 3PP...

I think Treantmonk my have destroyed at least a portion of this market by giving out a lot of great strategies for free.

However, I could see a product like that showing up someday.

I purchased the compilation, and while very cool, not quite what I am looking for. The compilation was very well written and a great first Tricky Owlbear purchase, I look forward to purchasing more of your products. I would suggest this to anyone who likes flavor and crunch.

Thanks for saying so (and purchasing it!); I really appreciate the feedback.
