Holy moly, am I in pain.
Unloaded two 50 ft shipping containers in 2 days, and they wanted me to do a 3rd tonight, but my body has given out...
Note: plenty of gaming updates tomorrow as I lay on the couch :)
You and I shall be in the same boat then! I aggravated my herniated discs tonight, and wound up in the ER. A shot of Norflex in one butt cheek and a shot of Toradol in the other. I'll be laid up on the couch for a couple of days. Good thing my daughter was at her dad's house tonight!

Can't have any muscle relaxants?

Norflex is a muscle relaxer and the sent me home with a prescription of (Flexeril)/Cyclobenzaprine, which is a muscle relaxer and (Ultram)/Tramadol, which is a pain reliever. I would have preferred Lortabs because that's what I've taken in the past the most, and I know exactly how they affect me, but I wasn't about to complain about the Tramadol. I've had it once before and it seems to work OK, my concern with it is that if you drink while taking Tramadol, it is likely to incite seizures. I don't drink daily or anything, but I do like to go out on the weekends when I can.

I too shall join the couch crew... but mine is mostly out of laziness and comfort unless the weather is superb, then I'll be gaming and fishing at my friend's cabin for the early afternoon. Dawn will reveal all!
The weather is incredibly crappy here today. I went from using the AC yesterday to having my heater on today. So which is it then, fishing or cuddled up on the couch?

I had a job back in high school, where the boss would actually let me snooze in the back in between customers. Imagine that, I got paid to take an afternoon nap :)

It would offer some very serious roleplay potential. How does a Goblin deal with the conflict of loyalties between his own people and his friends? I'd vote in favor of doing so, and I can toss out a character that's already built if somebody wants it. Gumz Bigtracker, Goblin Rogue.

Thinking ahead for my next game is all. Seeing the free goblin-based adventure coming out, and goblins of golarion, it's setting my mind back to runelords.

I am playing that right now in another PbP. My dwarf has enjoyed whomping on the goblins. He's also the one that found one of the Goblins eating one of the Sandpoint citizens. He would definitely have some conflict with a Goblin PC.
Although if you run it entirely from the point of view of the Goblins. That could be really interesting too. The PCs' tribe rises to prominence through its sack of Sandpoint.

I ran an 'All Orcs' campaign for a while a few years ago, went great, still spoken about years later by the players, with wistfull tones...
Not every Orc sees other Orcs as his brother; the fighting between tribes can be bloody and fierce.
Similarly, a Gobbo in Sandpoint might be from another tribe and have no qualms going on a bloody rampage killing his own.
A Goblin Ranger with favoured enemy Goblin....lulz :)
(A bit like my Elf Ranger in a tabletop game with Favoured Enemy:Human)

I love goblins, they're a blast! I have a scenario that isn't goblin but it is somewhat similar.
I had an elven character whose entire purpose was killing orcs. Orc bane weapons, even went so far as to have a magical glyph on his forehead that kept the kill count of his orcs. We had to stop at a farm for information once, and there was this orc in coveralls tilling his fields, with a small orc boy playing with the dog, and an orc wife in bonnet in dress offering us fresh apple pie. My character calmly spoke with the family, since we needed the information. My fellow party member couldn't believe that I wasn't attacking them, and it bothered him so much he ended up pulling a javelin from My backpack and impaling the wife's shoulder to the door. I laughed so hard when the DM speaking for the wife, calmly pulls the javelin from her shoulder, smiles and says "We get that a lot, that's why we moved out into the country. Are you sure you wouldn't like any pie?'

So... you did get the job then?

No email yet. If I don't hear anything by Monday, I have their 800 number :)

Are we wishing him good luck or breakfast cereal? :P
I was told by a good friend of mine to never say "good luck". So, I figures since Kaylen is sending sheep, I could send four-leaf clovers. Sebastian is the one who had to add in yellow moons and blue diamonds. Making everyone hungry now. Geez, thanks Sebastian :P

Being of theater background I try to say GL as little as possible, but breakfasts are to my knowledge perfectly acceptable!

I wouldn't think one would go to an interview for global domination. You just sort of show up and dominate. That's what you should do Tom. Leave them all in the fetal position in awe of your dominance....and maybe pee on their carpet.

I nearly peed on myself reading this :)

The Nihilists did it in The Big Lebowski. But it was more of a sign of contempt. They also dropped a Marmot into his bathtub with him.
I was thinking more Call of the Wild kind of marking territory.

Well to be fair, you can consistently expect Winter to be a bleeding heart god-bothering do-gooder. Like Ned Flanders, but with a huge sword.
Mind you, there are times when he will click into hellfire and damnation I am certain :p
