Ants are way grosser than spilt honey, and they're harder to get rid of once they've decided you have food. Once ants show up, they'll be covering your counter, eating every little crumb. And a smushed ant smells twenty times worse than some moldy crumbs.
LOL. I find the exact opposite. I let them come in, clean up for me, and then I put all the food away. They find nothing to eat, say, "Meh," and wander off.
And I can't smell 'em.

It's a lame night, I helped one kid find the bike he most wanted, reminded me of a young Freehold gazing at his first bike. :-)
That was pretty sweet, otherwise blah! No stupid f&&+ing questions or obscure toy requests, and another hour and a half to go.
Someone better come in looking for Breaking Bad's Home Chemistry Set, otherwise, I shall be very put out.

Dream Eater is a really fun attack. Psychic-type, deals significant damage, and heals the user half the damage dealt. But it only works on targets that are asleep; otherwise the attack always misses.
The problem, thus, is that unless you have a reliable way to make enemies fall asleep, the attack is pretty pointless. Mesmer used to have the Hypnosis attack, which does so, but it only has about a 60% accuracy rate, which is far less than I'm happy with. There's one sleeping move with 100% accuracy - Spore - but none of my party members has access to it.

You know, despite all my years of driving experience, it still surprises me how angry some people get just because I insist on driving the posted speed limit. I actually had a guy yell at me tonight because I had the sheer gall to drive 20mph in a 20mph zone. Of course, when the light we were stopped at turned green and he tried to zoom off dramatically on his motorcycle, he actually succeeded at making a loud grinding noise come from his transmission before the engine died. Not sure that really had the effect he was hoping for.

What started out as a joke has become a running gag in our campaign, with Poe once mistaking a Diviner with a "Diviner's rod" (a stick to find water) so now everyone makes cracks about it. Tiny T-Rex's character, he mostly yells "shocking grasp and chucks dice, and plays with extra pawns, but Pea Bear has insisted since birth a character is made for him, and it makes up for the long standing flakiness of her uncles, so.
Now, of course, every character of his, is named Jak, and is a Cylon Android.

Yes, i have it in the default settings, i haven't actually used any of the occult stuff beyond classes, yet...
edit: we're starting up again this week sometime, with spring erupting and Pea Bear properly acclimated (relatively) to middle school, the long hiatus should be over. :-)

Well I yelled at my boss again over scheduling and he relented... I may have figured out that my boss won't listen to me unless I am yelling... weird. Or it could be that he heard about me crying and is deciding to treat me delicately.
One of my very good friends is a VERY good PM. He ended up with a "yeller" boss. He calmly let his boss yell and scream, and then said, "While I do not appreciate your tone, I understand your concerns. Let me address them one-by-one... And oh, by the way, yelling will not get this issues addressed any faster. The noise level of your voice will not increase the speed of my workers."
He proceeded to impress the "yeller" so much that everyone else at the company asked, "Why doesn't he yell at you any more, even when you tell him, 'No'?"I know I'm paraphrasing, but basically some execs have been taught that the only way to get their employees to do anything is to yell at them. And just like an angry dog, you have to whack them on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper (metaphorically, I hope) to get them to behave.

I have a Lundberg boss, every time I work with him he comes up to me, puts his hands together and says "Captain Yesterday, yeeah, I'm gonna need to you to straighten these areas, can you do that for me"
The same areas, for three+ years now, every single shift I work with him. which, thankfully, isn't that often.

Man do I know that feeling. I've lost count of the times I've been tailgated, headlights flashed at me, honked at, or shouted at for having the nerve to go 30 in the 30 MPH zone between home and work.
