Boycott red shirts! As pirates you'd obviously go topless, Shark Bait. It's the bandanna that'll be red.
Huzzah! The Hobbit was FAWESOME!!! We saw it in 3D IMAX, with that high frame rate. In the words of Keanu...
......WHOA!
And we had a nice, quiet breakfast together! Double Huzzah!
And, we ordered a new microwave at Best Buy!
of course, now I've got a hankering to read The Hobbit again.
I think I first read it in 6th grade. That would have been about 30 or so years ago.
I've been in a culinary mood this weekend.
Saturday: Dinner was fresh water sole with beurre blanc, maple-ginger roasted winter vegetables, and a salad with leaf lettuce, radicchio, orange wedges, and walnuts.
Sunday: Went out for breakfast and had an omelet wrap that was full of bacon. Supper was homemade chili. It came out a little soupy for my liking, but the leftovers have thickened.
Today: Roasting a chicken with a side of braised leeks and fennel and some scalloped potatoes.
Mmmm.
And I will be eating the chicken and the chili for days to come.
Ugh. Snow on the horizon. Super suckage
The joy of searching for things in your play by post so you know what phase the moon is in.

Snow is awesome.
Unless you have to shovel it.
Or drive in it with others who have no business driving, much less on snow,...

I love shoveling snow.

Crap I'm old.
If had know I would live this long I might have taken better care of myself. ;)
Did someone mention snow earlier?

How's the weather in Finland?
It has been sunny in Colorado.
It's cold and snow's covering the ground.
Then again, it was much colder around last week.

OK.
I may have to try and catch up on some yard work tomorrow.
I'm still really liking the newest Conan movie!
I'm going to bed before I engage in one of the political threads.

Very good idea. Political threads...arrrgh.
Have a nice sleep, hopefully you're dreams are filled with lollipop's and pretty things - rather than gingerbread and clowns.
Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Sadly, it's Tuesday. Back to work.
It's also very cold this morning. Wind chill said 7 degF. Brrrr....
Oh, and FHDM, you'll be happy to know we got snow here in Philly last night. Not much, and I actually cleaned the cars off last night after it stopped.

I'm already there!
...I mean at work.
Went for a Town Watch walk last night, and we saw a deer run across the road.

Mmmmmm.....venison burgers.
Well, the good news is the sun is going to be shinning brightly today. The bad news is we've almost reach our forecast high temp of 24 degF.

DAMNIT! NOW I'M HUNGRY!!!
Almost at the evilbad place. At least I have something to look forward to. One of my old air group coworkers supposedly has a gift for me.
Mrgh.
First 8-to-8 day of the January Rush yesterday. I imagine the mail will be overloaded today, due to the holiday yesterday, and thus today's work will be just as long. Might have to crash early tonight to make up for loss of sleep over the weekend.

January Rush is prevalent in my work too...
...and very annoying.
Tax season! End of year documentation! All due by the 31st. UGH.

True that's a better way to cook it, but I know there is a van in the towns centre that sells unusual burgers... if I can get away from work.
