I respect that. My GF will just leave the TV on for background noise so I have seen them. They are declaring war imo.

They should declare war against Chik-Fil-A, now that i'll watch.

I probably won't.

I think Freehold DM appeared in the second or third version of the FaWtL thread. But damned if I plan on going back through those monsters to find where. All of the FaWtL threads are linked on my Profile page, if someone is nuts enough to try.

I am not. honestly when I come back and their is like 400 posts I just skip to the last page. >.>

I used to do that, but now with Crookshanks' occasional posting i'm supposed to keep tabs on her.

Well bridges do tend to involve heights so I guess that makes sense..hmm how do you feel about trolls and bolly goats?

I can honestly say some of my favorite memories is conquering my fears on our honeymoon by not only driving over loveland pass in Colorado (12,900 feet) but also driving over both The Golden Gate bridge (twice, because i could) AND the Tacoma Narrows bridge in Washington six times in the week we stayed on the Olympic Peninsula (including on the anniversary of it's collapse).

I'm still afraid of heights and bridges, but they don't own me.

That is good that you have a grip on it. Do you have any idea what happened to make you afraid of bridges?

I watched a video of the Tacoma Narrows bridge collapsing when i was incredibly young.

Ah got ya. Must of been one heck of a documentary. I could see it.
I kind of was thinking maybe you fell off one or something.

Their is this nature walk close to where I live and their is a rickety suspension bridge that makes me hesitant and I'm not the least afraid of heights.

Goats are evil incarnate and trolls are disgustingly trendy in this area.

This is why Northern Wisconsin wins.

Hodags are infinitely cooler than trolls.

Wow that was intense. I love the black and white screen popping up saying Disaster! no $%^&!

I hope people were fired for that. the engineer for starters.

Good morning all

morning. (some would call this midnight.)

To go back to the discussion of when people first posted here, it appears I had the honor(?) of being the first post on page 411.

Yep, midnight it is.

Heard back from the player whose Bard died in last week's game. He's bringing a Paladin with an archetype that removes the spellcasting. So, unless the other player who lost a character last week makes one, the party will have NO SPELLCASTERS OF ANY KIND! And it seems unlikely that he will make a caster, since in the 3 years or so I've known him he's only played Fighters and Barbarians, and shown no interest in magic. Wonder how long until someone else dies and makes a Cleric just to try and stay alive.

Just after midnight is technically morning

Nope. It's the middle of the night. Hence the term "mid-night".

I count morning as 00:00:01 and on.
Just because it is morning does not preclude it from also being night.

Well. I had an interesting day at work. Pittsburgh's Electrical utility was doing work in the construction area right beside my garage, leaving at least a three block stretch of Second avenue without power. No traffic signals, no streetlights, and no main power for my garage. That meant, no outlet power for the microwave, so no ramen today. No power for the coffee maker, so no hot tea on a cold day. No pwoer for the electric heater in either the break room or the restroom. No lights in the restroom either. And no power for my laptop, so no Internet access while at work. If it wasn't for the emergency generator running all day, there wouldn't even be power for the overhead lights or the exit gates. I sincerely hope everything works tomorrow.

That's what I love about the internet. It's a place where two strangers can have a difference of opinion and, through reasoned and rational discourse, can come to an understanding that both views are valid. All without resorting to hyperbole or comparing each other to various unloved individuals and groups. Ah, yes. The internet. A place of peace.

It is a thing.
The people with the least to say shout it the loudest.
It was said a few pages back, the news and politics is depressing, but walk down the street and say hi to your neighbor and go to the park and ask a complete stranger if you can pet their dog, and the world starts to seem just a little bit less crap

Which one?

Great-Grandpa Longears was in your neck of the woods somewhen around the 1890s-1900s, being military; possibly I should apologise, but all he did was nail things to (British) horses, and get married. He seemed to do the latter an awful lot, if my mother is to be believed.

Morning doesn't start until I wake up.

Unless I wake up at night, then it's still night.
