Scarab Sages

nekkid assimilation?!?

Scarab Sages

In other news: Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Normally, this is where I'd say something like "Happy Monday", but today....f#!& that s$+$!

Because I'm fairly convinced that today is going to suck big, hairy, goat testicles, right before it smacks me over the head with a nail-studded 2x4.

Scarab Sages

And then it's gonna get nasty.

Scarab Sages

So, to sum up.....

Scarab Sages

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Scarab Sages

On the other hand, True Blood kicked ass last night, but the end......yeah, kinda saw that coming a mile away.

~yawns~ I need to stop staying up until 2:30 am playing video games. Especially since the cats are like "Daddy! Daddy! You are back in the living room and can play with us!!! Zoom! Zoom! Zoom!!! Lets run around the room!" ~tired grin~ Since the "cats" like to chew on things, they are outlawed from the back of the house and that is where the bedroom and offices are.

~kicks the zombie while he is down, then RUNS~

On the plus side, a coworker gave me a callout on saturday. That combined with another callout last weekend should help me get halfway caught up with some bills that I am slightly behind on.

Not to take anything away from the seriousness of Shiney's predicament, I wanted to introduce, Invader Zim. He's like a brother to me, and I've been remiss in inviting him to jump on the crazy train that is FAWTL. He's not a very experienced PFRPG player, but he and I started playing 2nd Edition back in the late 80s, and he's a great guy. I'm not sure how active he'll be able to be in the group or on the boards, but he's looking to increase his Pathfinder and Paizo ties, and I can't think of a better place for him to do that than here. :D

GLORY TO THE MANY. YOU ARE A VOICE IN THE CHOIR.

Welcome Invader Zim.

Spoiler:
I agree with what some others have said.

While you should never use the cliche, "It's not you, it's me", by explaining that you just are not over your ex yet, you are honestly conveying the problem you are having and are making it clear that it is not a deficiency of hers.

It's never easy, though. Just be honest.

In case any of you are interested, JourneyQuest started its second season last week. You can see it, and the first season, here. If you wait until the end of the second season episodes, in the list of contributors you can see my name. My real name. I'm not going to tell you which one I am, though.

This boss thing sucks. Especially when multiple people drop the ball on the same day. Trying hard not to turn into Prick Boss.

They're separate issues. They're separate issues...

I sincerely hope it is!

Anyway to keep her in the friend zone while throwing in a quick rebound relationship? Too Hollywood romantic comedy to be good advice?

Ouch! Good luck with that, E7. That is one of the many reasons why I would never go into management. The other biggest reason is that I am lazy.

Is anybody starting to think that this Invader Zim is like the black dude Paris saw out of the corner of his eye? 'cuz I'm not seeing him anywhere...

~curses~ And here I thought I had balanced my bills correctly. ~curses some more~ On the plus side, a friend will help me out with the extra cash I need to cover the two bills that I am short on. I should be able to pay him back Friday. ~sighs~ I will be so glad when tax time rolls around so I can pay off some bills.

Spoiler:

Agree with above advice.

Once you're sure, say something sooner rather than later. Nothing sucks more than being treated poorly while the other person knows they're not interested, but just strings you along.

Be up front about why, if you can. It's going to be painful no matter what, but it might help if you give her a concrete reason.

I'd also suggest to let her decide if she can still be friends - leave the door open if you want to, but I wouldn't be pushy about it.

Good morning Taig and everyone else. It's a bright and shiny day out on the west coast and I have chores, packing, and a dirty shed to clean, store and stock.

I need helpful monkeys.

hi everyone,

packing the bags now, have I mentioned thatI really don't like air travel?

I like people, but work in at a bank sorely tested me. Positions where you deal with the public encourage an us vs them attitude on the part of the staff that can make you loathe other human beings that you do not know.

Tourists can be annoying, I understand that, but if you despise getting in contact with them MAYBE YOU SHOULD NOT WORK AT A HOTEL OR A FREAKIN TOURIST ATTRACTION!!!!

I work as a hotel desk clerk, and I hate people. Not just tourists, but pretty much everyone who comes through the door. I am a good enough liar to hide it, though. In fact I hide it well enough that I have received written compliments from guests and been praised by my managers for my "great people skills". So maybe they need to be better liars.

I had to learn to be less honest as well.
I believe the statement is "This job would be awesome, if it weren't for all the freakin' customers"

Maybe the Wendy's restaurants in my area have gone down hill, but I really don't enjoy going there anymore.

I used to rock the spicy chicken sandwiches but they seem to have lost something lately.

Mmmm, nomming on a spicy chicken sandwich right now. Soon to be followed up by a small chili. NOM NOM NOM

Also, white castle isn't a food, it's a controlled substance. You can't escape the crave.

Hello FAWTLfolk! How's your Monday? Y'all were prolific this weekend!

Also, just leaving this here, in case no one's seen/heard it yet.

Yay for good friends. If all my bills had hit, I would have been in the hole and something would have bounce. I called a friend and asked if I could borrow $80 until Friday. We met over near his bank and he handed me $100 and said I did not owe him anything. YAY!!! I am back in the black. Sort of.
