My wife is changing her style right now, but I like her old style, so I'm going to take it=)
Blonde is fun, but take care when bleaching. It's best for your hair health to take off the color a little at a time. Took me the better part of a year to go from black to platinum, but still having hair at the end of it makes it worth taking the extra time. :)
(For the record my natural hair color is a dark honey blonde/ light auburn depending on the time of year. I had dyed it black. I've dyed it a lot of colors over the years.)Dyeing hair was basically my wife's job for years, I am luckily in good hands. ^_^
Honey blonde? That's awesome!
Lol. I think I am going to go platinum blonde and put it into corn rows.
Being a very light skinned black person people are already often confused what ethnicity I am, this should double down on creating floating question marks over peoples heads when they see me. ^_^
You just have a nice tan. I just burn.

I just got a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt.
Even though I was wearing one. (I have never in my life ridden in the front seat of a car without wearing one.)
So angry right now.
Don't forget, I'm the guy who got a $250 ticket for going 55 in a 55 mph zone (quote: "I'm tellin' you it's FORTY-five now, boy.")

Someone needed to meet his quota of tickets... Ugh. Is that one of the "contesting the ticket costs more than the ticket itself" plus "the court will consider law enforcement statement to be sole proof needed to uphold the ticket"?

Back in the days of yore (high school, 1993 to be specific) a friend and I drove thru a park, ran over a cop's foot and got off because he was terrible at turning in paperwork, got to court and the judge dismissed it.
That was a freebie, also we stopped running over cop's feet after that :-)
Best part my future wife walked by as I was getting frisked, really helped cement the bad boy image I was trying to cultivate then:-D

If you have the chance and finances, I highly recommend Prepaid Legal. They were excellent for us when we were in Miami (where I was cited incorrectly twice).

Also, recently I am more and more convinced that all sorts of fines for infractions and crimes should under no circumstances be entered into government, local, law enforcement agency, or court budget because that makes them interested party and thus unfit to be objective judge of the situation, veracity of the accusation or of the fundamental justification for the existence of the violated law.

the f~*~? You always wear a seat belt. I have seen you wear one while driving 100% of the time. How much is the ticket?

For question A, I don't know the fine, but I'm on salary, so I could go to court without losing wages. I'm not pleading guilty to something I didn't do, even if the fine isn't that high.
To the second question, depends on the judge. At least if I state my piece, if the judge fines me anyway, I will know I fought it and didn't admit to something I didn't do.

Always! Every time I get in the car!
Okay, so I Googled it, and it's only $50, but it could affect my insurance rates (probably not for one violation, but I don't want to go down that road).

In wisconsin its $10, any offense, it wasn't until 5 years ago that they could pull you over for it.
Washington State its like $110 first offense or something then goes up like 80 or 100 each time after that, f%+%ing crazy!
but yeah never ever take your seatbelt off before the cop talks to you:-)
i look like a hippy and grew up in tiny towns with a@%+@*~ cops, so i know a thing or fifty about getting harassed:-)

I'd love to argue, but back when, during one of our annual California budget crises, the state decided to confiscate all ticket money and return a pittance to municipalities, I know my father (on the City Council at the time) pointed out that it now cost the city a significant amount of money to write tickets, so they should tell police only to write tickets in egregious situations.
I tried Googling the stats and came up empty, but I would *love* to see the rate of local tickets issued before and after that California decision. I suspect you're right -- once it's not profitable for municipalities, tickets drop immensely.

You in central Florida? Around, say, Brevard County? 'Cause I might know a place you could get a free dinner or two this weekend, if you don't mind Prayer and Preaching. :)
EDIT: ^ This is not where I live. Just to be clear. :D
(You'd totally still get the Prayer and Preaching, though. I talk to my son about that stuff all the time. :D)

Oh insurance deductibles, how I loathe thee.
Yes and no. Typically when you have an insurance deductible like this, you also typically contribute to a Health Savings Account (HSA) so you have a pool of money to pay those expenses. I have enough in there to cover it; it's just a bummer watching the balance drop so precipitously.

Fridge has been replaced, but everything that was in it ended up going bad, and I won't have enough for replacement groceries until next week. Going to have to get creative and figure out how I can make a box of pasta, a can of tuna, and two cans of green beans last until Wednesday.
It really depends on the kind of pasta used, but my solution is cooking pasta in lower amount of water, and instead of draining it after cooking, I leave it in the water so it will soak more water, including all the starch that might have been flushed away. I prefer to do the same with rice.
