Man, the salt mines sure are especially saline today... my eyes are burning out my skull, i have been staring at the screen so long. And then my new supervisor gives me static because I cannot be in two places at once and had to make a judgment call that, naturally, was the wrong one. Sigh.... damned if you do... crucified if you don't.
Patrick, we are all praying for your little girl. Any idea what is wrong as of yet?

Obviously you need to find the Great Gazoo and have him make a clone of you that can only say yes. Then you can be in two places at once. And wacky hijinks will ensue.

Thanks Jess. Qucikly popping in, going back to hospital after a 6-hour nap. No word on eventual outcome. Might be surgery, might be managed care. Will know more later. Thank you everyone for your kind wishes.

Morning, all. What did I miss?
Well, Jenny found that she had to change her number, after a visit to a local club was followed by a series of creepy, late-night phone calls. Meanwhile, an intervention was staged for Roxanne after it was discovered that she had secretly begun a career in the worlds oldest profession. And, on the other side of town, Jack and Diane had come to learn that life did indeed go on, even after the thrill of living was....No, wait! That's my soap opera.

All the best for Ally, Patrick. Let us know if there's anything we can do besides sending those good vibes.
Lyn, P-Chem is the only chemistry that makes any sense at all. The rest are random and chaotic. Which means that if you like the others you may hate p-chem. Don't! Embrace it!
Sharoth, you are now the Crash Dragon, joining Crashthulu in the pantheon. Hope you feel better and all that paperwork is dealt with swiftly.
Time for me to join the rest of you wage slaves in the work day. See you all later.

Haha, I saw this a few days ago. It would have been even more awesome if she'd said, "What is thy bidding, my master?"

Slightly larger then normal. He's very touchy about his height, and full of bravado.
He is, in essence, (to pull one of my favorite lines from the play) always fighting giants.
Close, I was refering to the following;
“I-I am going to be a storm-a flame-
I need to fight whole armies alone;
I have ten hearts; I have a hundred arms;
I feel too strong to war with mortals-
BRING ME GIANTS!”

But MY Cyrano does ride a wolf (D'artagnan) and he uses a lance, I'm sure I'll be able to tilt at windmills at some point.

It's ironic, but you know what I miss? I miss all the political threads that used to be here. I didn't post on them much, but they were nice to read for me. I don't really watch the NEWS. And after you sift through all the vitriol of some posters, you ended up with a fairly balanced view of the issue(s) being discussed. I used to get all my NEWS from Paizo -- but now it feels like nothing is happening in the world. I guess we need another election year.

(At least for a while...) Paizo posters were able to present alternate sides to issues fairly well. While Stewart and Colbert are entertaining and present good points, I question just how "balanced" they truly are.

True, but you're never going to get a truly balanced point from any news source.

Got quick issues.
1) They're not news. They're comedy programs.
2) Since they're comedy, they also don't claim to be news except in the farcical sense.
Sorry, just had to get that out of my system. I keep seeing that all over the internet and it's wrong to think of them as news programs at all.

As for the Daily Show and Colbert Report - absolutley they don't like to think of themselves as news, but they do occasionally recieve news acclaim - for instance, they have the best fact-checkers in the industry.

Frankly, I tend to think of Stewart more as a watchdog of journalism. He calls bullshit on "news" organizations more than politicians.

Did you see the episode where John Stewart admitted that he didn't have to be balanced because he was a comedy program after Papa Bear tried to call him on it? That's what gets under people's skin. They don't even claim to be balanced, but they're still a journalistic program.

That, indeed, they are good at. The spin they give isn't what I'd call liberal integrity. They balk about the corruption or stupidity more than anything else.
