I came over as fast as I could! I heard there was a Solnes sighting!

Is it true? Is she real?

Glad to see ya back, Solnes! Was thinking about you the other day, specifically that we hadn't heard from ya.

Cj, I am sorry to hear of the trouble you're having and pray it eventually turns around for you. To answer your earlier question, I don't drive very often because I don't have a car. But it was surprisingly quite a fun drive!

Solnes, it is soooooo good to have you back even if it is only for a few moments. Please give your hubby my regards, and your job the back of your hand. You have been an excellent employee, and if they can't be appreciative, they need a smack!

I love to drive unfortunately right now I am not allowed to. Sigh

The prayers are much appreciated.

My wife talked me down on the kids, she had a better idea. They no longer have any stuff, and now both share a room.

Ha! Thanks. I think I got my first favourited posts from that thread, Sebastian favourite one of the snarky ones and Treppa (thanks Treppa!) favourited one where I decided to stop being snarky and add some useful advice.

Yes, my boy always gets very precise and methodical (and slooooow) when it comes to packing up near bed time.

So my parents have both had a bad and persistent case of the flu, when my dad went to see the doctor the other week, the doc found an irregularity with his heart ... sent him off to the cardiologist, who found that he has an enlarged heart, two leaky valves, and a fast and erratic heartbeat, and was in probably danger of developing a clot. So since then he has been on all sorts of medicine, been in the hospital a couple of times ... they still can’t figure out what the cause of all this is. It has come on quite suddenly, as he had a full medical check up in April (he needs to get one every few months for his job) and his heart was in perfect health / condition.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that they find out soon what's causing it and find a way to treat it and that he makes a full recovery.

That's very scary, Mothman, especially coming on so fast. I hope they get him fixed up soon. I'm glad they went in. So many people are stubborn about not going to the doctor. Best wishes on his recovery.

My confidence in the medical profession has diminished over the years. Maybe the bums didn't spot it in April? Docs can fall into routines too. Argh, no good way to slice that. Hopefully he connects with a doctor that can help now that someone had spotted it.

Honestly it's mostly about personal taste. I have a Kindle, which I love, and I know some folks who absolutely swear by their Nooks. I don't know anyone who bought a lesser known brand and stuck with it. They may be out there, but I haven't met them.

Does the touch screen nook have the screen without glare - the one that doesn't need to be backlit and can be read in sunlight? Because that's a HUGE consideration for me if I ever replace my dead tree versions.

I believe so. I was in Barnes and Nobles the other night and they mentioned the nook not the color one which is like an ipad has a touch screen. But others may know better than me. I will take this dicussion to the technology Forum thank you Treppa.
