Doctor's appointment #1 of 2 this week: no pneumonia this time, but I've apparently dropped 15-20 pounds in the last three months, which is cool, I guess.
I'm glad you're doing well!
Sort of. Back in shape, but I've had bronchitis since October, and there's still one more doctor visit to go.

I hope the bronchitis clears soon and the second appointment goes well. Gesundheit!

Looped myself into listening to W(orking women) Of Tijuana - Trip Manhattan since yesterday a friend posted it on his timeline.

For some reason, my face-to-face group doesn't want me picking Christmas music. I only provide a few favorites that I think are calming, happy Christmas songs.

if I'm worthy to pick up mjolnir, something has gone horribly wrong.

As a hilarious flashback, this reminds me of when I was a kid and a lot of black reclamation stuff was huge, and my mom was trying to get me into it (for those who need a timeline, it was around the time the Malcolm X movie came out). My mom picked up a comic about aten, God of thunder - essentially black Thor with a stone ankh instead of a hammer. It was kinda cool, but also rather bigoted - all the villains were evil white people who wanted to subjugate black people. If I find it in my rummaging, I'll review it.

Heading back home from boot camp in a few hours!

Good morning FaWtLies! Hope you're all having a lovely day, and have a great weekend ahead. We've broken 0C today, really feeling that chill. Weather app says snow flurries incoming, but I doubt the accuracy of it's predictions.

AWRIGHT

So my idiot cat, after chewing through two DSL cables, two Nintendo DS cords, and the cord to the noisemaker I use to help me sleep, finally threw the last straw yesterday by chewing through the power cord for my modem. Attempts to acquire a new cord that works have failed, and it doesn't look like the modem's company sells them separately. So I've ordered a new modem; unfortunately since DSL modems are apparently rare as hell, you have to order them off Walmart's online store, which means waiting for shipping time.

Long story short, I won't be fully back online at home until next Thursday at the earliest, and that's barring any further surprises.
The good news is that the new modem will be a combination modem/router, so I can stash it on a high shelf out of cat-reach. That should prevent further incidents, I hope.

Here's hoping that the shipping, the install, and the setup will go without incident. See you guys in a week. I'll still be able to pop on the forums from work, from time to time, but it means my posting will be slow and heavily limited, especially in PBPs CH and TFY.

PARTY AT ICYS!

I tried to go early to sleep yesterday - I felt sleepy anyway so I went to bed around midnight... Yeah, right. I got up at three being tired of staying awake mixed with some very shallow dozing. Stayed up some more and went to bed much later and got up late as usual.

The longer I work at my job, the more I realize that they don't exactly run a tight ship. For example, we all got let off early today because dispatch lost an entire tractor trailer in the switching yard at the plant, and couldn't find it before 9 AM. This isn't the first time this has happened.

Might not be inaccurate. My area sometimes gets snow when it's too warm for the snow to stick. So we can get all of the visibility effects that come with snow, the human inability to drive properly that comes with snow, and the driving conditions of rain. It makes for an odd mix.

Ouch! I'm incredibly sorry that happened and sorry your cat did this. I hope they get the modem to you quickly and kitty gets over their chewing habit.

We're going to the vet tomorrow, appointment's already made. Hopefully they'll be able to at least give me a hint as to what to do.

I would suggest a squirtgun and target practice, but there's electronics involved. I hope the vet has a solution.

Spray bottle often works about as well as a squirtgun.

No idea. What's really fun is when they finally find it a few days later, and we get a nice surprise truckload of packages right before the end of the day.

Oh, Liara. What can I say? She gets me.

LOTRO had a promo weekend that ended started with me unlocking the latest expansion: Helm's Deep. Epic Battles are mostly confusing. Soldiers kill most enemies before I have chance to do anything except for those enemies that run through them and beyond our fortifications where they try to destroy our pieces of equipment or kill our NPCs that are behind the lines. Running after them and trying to kill them before they kill NPCs is frustrating, especially that they ignore the fact that you are swinging at them with sharp pieces of metal and don't focus on you unlike the more sensible enemies and monsters everywhere else.

Off to bed. *yawn*

I woke up some 40 minutes before the alarm I set.

Before I woke up I dreamed of a mental health institution where suspicious things happened connected to a string of murders, as far as I can recall. Except at one moment I remembered that I read a spoiler for that investigation/story and that's cult/conspiracy among the staff of the institution. I think they were subtly prodding disturbed patients into killing intended victims.
