Couldn't make it downstate to visit my family on Thanksgiving due to work, so a few of them were going to visit me today in Syracuse. Got a call last night saying they were going to bail because they were too tired from Thanksgiving and Black Friday. I don't even know why I bother getting my hopes up.

I still can't belive you don't have them in America, even the British and Italians have adobted them from us

Christmas marked is the most awesomest thing about christmas time, you have small sheds wo sell christmas stuff, all kind of seasonal food and mulled wine, mulled applewine and fire tonges punch

there are the huge comercial ones with 10thousands of visitors like WeihnachtsmarktFrankfurt strietzelmarkt Dresden Christkindlmarkt Nürnberg

and the small local ones where the local clubs organize everything, like the "choir Club selling mulled wine, the farmers wife club makes waffles, the volunteer fire fighters fry Bratwurst and the Soccer club sells Gulasch soup
these are the best ones, today we go to one of these in the neighbouring town Langenselbold, my hometown Gelnhausen host one on 3rd Advent Link

You can find them every so often in areas that have large German-American populations. I think my mother brought me to one somewhere when I was I kid, probably either in Wisconsin or Pennsylvania.

That was lame of them. Sorry to hear that.

What the badger said.

Ooh. Alingsås's (town two municipalities over from here) handball team is just one goal down away to Barcelona in the Champions League.

And then Barca decided to make an effort for the second half... 42-29.

Ouch!

I don't necessarily blame them. I wouldn't want to visit me either. On the other hand, it bothers me when people say they're going to do something and then don't do it. So there you go, I guess.

Expressions to remember for an appropriate time to use them:

"Put your gladrags on."

It has been proven that absinthe not just causes people to reconnect, it also brings about long periods of downtime!

In other words...

Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder?

Freehold! I need that drink! Lately, I just find myself wanting to choke people, and that's a sign that stress is getting to me.

Maybe not absinthe, though... Man that stuff knocks me on my ass :)

Speaking of drinking, go watch 'Galaxy Quest' drunk off your ass. All the feels, bro, all the feels.

okay. Am out tonight for friend's bday party, will check finances and see how things go for potentially drinking this Friday?

There will be ass-knocking absinthe!

Man that's a great idea for a drink label. ..ass-knocker..hmm....

I made some cleaning on my deviantart account notifications about new pictures. Reduced the number of pictures to be looked upon from over 600 to 477.

While listening to In Extremo. It's been long-long since I listened to them.

I am going to sleep before nostalgia embraces me completely - so many games I haven't played(and probably won't be able because they are for obsolete platforms, and getting images of their disks/roms for emulators isn't always an option), so many books I haven't read, so many movies that I haven't seen...

*sigh*

Morning folks.

Harrogate, so mid-way between York & Leeds.

I have seen them live in the 90s on a local mediveal market (ren fair) playing for coins and söling self-made cd's and then again 5 years ago on a big festival at hockenheim ring with third billing, only Die Toten Hosen and Metallica played after them

they defenetly made their way

Cold.

I went to shop and it wasn't as bad as I thought. A bit below zero degree (Celsius). No snow yet, though - it's dry.

I really should have tried this.

Two more weeks at the camp, and then I can go home for December.

I don't know if I should be disappointed with my writing speed, or content with it.

They are brilliant, no surprise they were only 3rd billing.

Still no snow. Cold and no snow is better than cold with snow.

Interestingly enough, my freezer door is having trouble remaining closed.

You might be playing too much Lord Of The Rings Online when you start getting dreams in which you receive quest for killing ten or twelve wargs (or were those orcs?) followed by quest for killing 10-12 barghests...

Achievement unlocked: dry-heaving in the parking lot at work due to stress.

My window insist on opening every few hours.

To nap or not to nap? Will napping make me sit whole night in front of the computer again? And what's more, will not napping make me fall asleep earlier tonight?

Nap.

Oh lord, I forgot how much pain a tetanus vaccine can cause.

I've been feeling pretty tired ever since I got that damned shot today.

Up again. No typical after-nap dizzines but a mild headache seems to be going my way.
