I've got some board-games & pizza tonight, whilst tomorrow is a leaving party (so much alcohol to be consumed...literally).
Good and bad.
Payday:
GM ended up not joining us for it, and two of the other players had made alternate arrangements by the time I contacted them, so it was just me and one of the others. We did one heist we hadn't been looking forward to, due to expected difficulty, and it actually turned out to be pretty easy, so that was cool. We spent the rest of the night on one other heist, that we knew was going to be hard, and was next-to-impossible. Just as we finally managed to pull it off, and were making our escape, my friend's internet went down. Guess who was hosting? T.T The game has an unfortunate function, I believe to stop cheating of some kind, where if an online game loses connection to their servers, the game turns it into a single player server. I couldn't rejoin, and he couldn't finish it without help, so it's back to the drawing board with it.
How was your own game night? And seeing as we got everyone in on pizza talk, what'd you get on yours in the end? :P Hope you enjoy the boardgames later (any ones in particular you're playing?) and the party tomorrow. :)
Me: Where is second hand scanner?
Supervisor: Well, the bad news... It broke today. (...) Do what you want for now.
Me: Can I go home now?!
Girls from the flash area:*laughter* Supervisor (laughing): ... Something useful.
I doubt that scanner will be repaired by now... And if they replace it with a crappy 3D scanner it will be real pain in the ass as they do not work with our system for some reason.
And the real pain in the backside will be lack of second hand scanner on Saturday during the overtime.
Six hours of overtime at so damn early hour. I did at least 15 kilometers. Probably more, maybe even 20-30 kilometers... Just by going between shelves for six hours...
Came home today and discovered much to my chagrin that wheat is no longer good for you...at least according to my wife and Dr.Oz
Nothing stays good for you for long, it seems. I hear milk is actually bad for your bones these days! I just ignore the lot and eat what I like these days. Easier than trying to keep up with the latest 180's.
It's the low-fat and fat-free milk they are criticizing, when for decades they said those were infinitely better for you than whole milk.
Later today we are headed up to Connecticut to visit my sister and her family, plus my dad will be visiting. Tomorrow the whole family will be going to Six Flags New England, weather permitting.

And I still think that World Of Warcraft should be turned into a series of single player games... Vanilla, Burning Crusade, Wrath, Cataclysm, Pandaria...
I bought a car Friday. The first time I bought one at a dealership. I've been planning to replace my old rust bucket ('97 Grand Am with probably more rust than paint), but wasn't intending to do so yet. But when the a hole rusted through the gas tank (it only leaked if you filled it over 1/2 tank) I figured it was time to start looking. Got what I think is a pretty good deal on a 2011 Camry. Good shape, good price, only 2% interest, so I took it. Payments were a about $25 a month more than I wanted to spend, but figured the car was worth it. Now my family has 3 2011 Toyotas (Mom has a Sienna, and Dad has an Avalon).
I should write a bit today. Meh. Maybe I will go to library a bit later... One thing that I need to do today is laundry. They gave us three shirts for work. Workweek usually has five days. Which means making laundry at least twice a week. Three times if there is overtime on Saturday.
