Cool! Is that a Czech car? I seem to recall that name from somewhere. I just got a used Dodge Caravan with a handicapped ramp package. I am very excited about this

I saw them from time to time in Italy, although they weren't hugely popular there.

I think so.

D'oh, I started the thread.

I take it you didn't go see Natural Born Killers then? :P

I wonder what that movie would have been like had Tarantino directed it (I'm guessing freaking bad ass). He wrote the screenplay, but the studio decided to put that hack Stone in charge.

Ugh.

Ugh.

Tarantino behind NBK? I dunno. I think it would have been good bad movie.

On a side note, this video game looks like something Tarentino had some kind of involvement in.

Liberty's Edge

Yeah, but "good bad" beats "really bad bad" ten times out of ten ;-)

More violent but just as crappy?

I know I'm in the minority here, but Tarantino has the fecal touch IMO... everything he touches is s%~$.

Tarantino seems awfully full of himself. I liked Pulp Fiction, but that is the last movie I liked of his. His take on vampires was just silly

I can only take him in small doses, but I don't think he's that bad. Loved Pulp Fiction and most of Kill Bill.

Kill Bill Vol. 01 and 02 stand out worry editions to any DVD, IMOPO.

Oh, Good Morning everyone.

You didn't like From Dusk Til Dawn?!? It's....it's like.....like I don't even know you!

The Exchange

Not a QT fan. While some of it is interesting, none of it seems.... good.

Liberty's Edge

From Dusk to Dawn was directed by Robert Rodriguez, for the record. Tarantino wrote the screenplay based on someone else's story.

I had versimilitude issues with the story. I don't like a story that is just window dressing for the gore/sex scenes and has gaping logic holes.

It's one of the only George Clooney movies I can watch repeatedly.

I was hoping to see it in the theater, but work interfered. The critics panned it, but I liked it.

well it is Czech but Skoda is owned by Volkswagen and the Fabia is more or less identical to the VW Polo (but a bit cheaper)

so it is easier for you to transport your doughter? happy for you

Alright. I really hope my partner finds work soon. He's getting discouraged and we could use the money.

Right now, I'm enjoying the fact that we have our desktop computer again. We've been relying on the laptop, but this computer is so much faster.

The longer one looks the harder it is to stay motivated and positive. I hope something works out soon.

I wish him luck, though he shouldn't need it with his talent. Has he considered self-publishing? It's becoming much more acceptable than it once was.

Have you found a choir yet?

I hope the winds haven't kept you landbound. Hold on to those feathers!

Our resident Sorcerer/Dragon Disciple player in Kingmaker just finished painting a mounted lance wielding mini for me and it is awesome! I will try to post a picture of it later.

In terms of photography, he's had some good stuff come from his own work, but nothing really in the way of paid commissions/portraits.

He's looking for a "day job" so he can focus on doing what he wants with photography without being so concerned about the money. But that search has been rough. He doesn't want to go back to retail - that is what he was doing before he went back to college, and he went through all the studying/tuition specifically to move beyond the retail world, so I can't say I blame him. Hopefully he can find something before it comes to that. (Not that there is a problem with working retail, but he found it frustrating, and went to considerable time and expense to change his career path.)

I like it all. That being said in a movie I like it when it is called for. This wasn't. Kind of distracted from the movie rather than adding anything in.

Arnies Commentary on the Conan Movie.

"just da pounding of der head and the breaking of der head, now I am enjoying it all-ready".

In the original Conan movie it looked like James Earl Jones had Spinal Tap as his henchmen.

Actually that made more sense. Chick getting naked cause she was drugged and about to be sacrificed. chick getting naked 'cause Conan is going to have his way with her. Naked Orgy where the cultists are drugged up.

new movie...

Large scene of women topless, just because. They are being hauled away by slavers. Conan smash slavers. The women don't wear tops. Conan thinks it time to party, now that slavers are dead. Just lame.
