It's two different companies.
One company is the one that just produced the report. They have no further information available than what's on the report, and the phone number provided is not the number I need. They've done what they can, and have nothing else to give. (I have complaints about the amount of time it took them to get the report to me in the first place, but they've been otherwise cooperative.)
The other is a professional credit bureau, and I have no earthly clue why they can't give me the information. There was some byzantine talk about credit education course or some nonsense, then when I told the lady who answered I wasn't interested, I just wanted the information I needed, I got routed back into the phone robot again.
I'll try again when I get home, hopefully get another representative who's more cooperative, and if that fails I'll try one of the other credit bureaus.
So the second company is claiming to others (the first company) that you are in debt and yet refuse to provide you with proof of this claim.
That is really really stinky... Any chance of getting lawyer advice? Or getting a court order requesting immediate delivery of documentation in question?

It works. Except for no sound. But one of the three should work. Now to figure out where I put my clue books. ~turns my head and there they are~ Ah. How nice. I should have known. One of my favorite games and I would keep the clue books here. ~looks~ The EoB II and III clue books, but not the EoB I clue book. ~shrugs~ Net search time.

that sucks,
my sympathies, LS
Agreed. Sorry to hear that, LordSynos.
damn. I'm sorry.
Thanks guys. I feel less terrible about it today than yesterday. There's far worse things that could happen, after all. I'll be repeating it in December, so here's to a better run this time!

John's nephew is being christened tomorrow and they are having a big party. Really big. Like 100+ people.
I have never heard of such a thing. Even his family thinks its weird, but his brother-in-law is all about it. My family never really had parties at all. I know some do, but they're usually small and for close family only. It looks like they are inviting everybody that they know.
Of course, there's also the fact that they don't really have the kind of money to be hosting 100 people at a party, especially with a baby to support, but they could not be talked out of it, so now we are all helping out as much as we can...
