"We can't leave the block. We can go above it or below it. Down to the dungeons and sewers, or up to pigeonland. But otherwise all we have is a highway, a piñata party, and a clownsman. The only place you can go is through the clown's tent, and he's not letting you through."

Is that a Watchmen reference? I've never read it, and only sorta watched the movie. But I think there's a character called The Comedian, right?

A Comedian died last night, and nobody cares. Nobody cares but me.

So yeah, final day in Hawaii and the inevitable happened. Impus Major forgot to sunscreen his legs. While surfing. In Hawaii.
It will be an... interesting... plane ride home for him tomorrow. On the bright side, he has learned an important life lesson about sunscreen.
lol white people problems
absorbs more sunlight harmlessly
Seriously though, heal up, little guy.

Trying to coordinate with my family for a get-together the week after this at my dad's place. We are none of us good at planning. Like epically bad kind of not good at planning. It's making things...interesting. My husband is freaking out a little, and I'm like I don't know what you're fussed about...you're not even going on this trip! :P
Although I must admit, it would be nice to know ahead of time if I need to buy an air mattress so we can sleep in the back of the car or if there will be room for us in the house....eh, we'll figure it out when we get there....

Possibly greatest line(s) from a youtube D&D series I am watching. (of which there have been a few good one-liners)
Bard(I think it was, may have been Archer) - "This is a Crypt!"
DM as a Guard in Elven Council room. "Excuse me, this is our sacred council room! How dare you! I mean, yes it's old but..."
Wizard Druid - "There are bones on the floor!" (Dm is using a pre-generated map off of roll-20.)
Dm as same Guard "We preserve history."

Sorry; no. Not even I cared. You're on your own, Rorschach. (Actually, I think the proper attribution in the movie would be to the Owl, but it's been a while.)

Tell that to my black friends who avoid the sun just as much as we do, then burn almost as easily. I'll never forget JJ: "I'm black! How the heck did I get a sunburn and you didn't?!?!?!"
Sunscreen. The Great Equalizer...

Thank you Hispanic heritage.I get sunburns all the time though.
At first I read Hispanic as Spanish but I guess you meant Latin American?
If not, my heritage seems not to be working and needs to be fixed!
I have a bit of everything, so some Spanish wouldn't surprise me, but yes, I meant Latin american, more specifically Mexican. It dominated my skin color, but the rest is more predominately Scot-Irish.

Reason #238 we Hate Impus Major
So, the boy is already rail-thin and boasts a six-pack in spite of rarely exercising, but this morning we woke him up and his "fairly bad" sunburn is now a deep, dark, even tan. In under 24 hours.
We hates him, yes we do.
Honestly, full disclosure: I tan so well and have such straight, dark hair that whenever I got back from Hawaii when I was a kid, everyone assumed I was Native American. But I never remember taming THAT fast...

It's a youth thing.

I'm almost 20, (end of month) and I still tan like that. Except I never "badly" burn, it's merely a bit raw.

Oh, I hate that so much! My husband does that, even now. He gets one bad burn and it heals in a day and then he's tan. Meanwhile, I burn easily, heal freakishly slowly, and the closest I get to tan is a slightly creamier shade of ivory.
These people and their fast healing....grrr.....;P
