It's going to be a quiet week for NH around here... 4 days of being bedridden followed by a day in Disneyland and a day of catch-up cleaning means that I have a ton of catch-up at work, and Impus Major is now so inundated with homework that I want to personally throttle every single one of his teachers.
Just as an example, on Monday of last week he received 5 1/2 hours of homework, all due Tuesday. Considering he gets home at 4 pm, that would have been a day of, "Go to school at 7:30 am, get home at 4 pm, work solid 'til 9:30 pm, go to bed and repeat tomorrow."
A workload of that once per quarter would not be unreasonable.
A workload of that at least once per week is unforgivable.
that beings back memories. Elementary school was filled with that kind of nonsense.

This is from the math that you weren't properly taught.

I myself am frustrated by kids that are being unnecessarily difficult (Pea Bear) or won't do the basic things to feel better, like blow your nose, or drink fluids (Tiny T-Rex).
So, i've had better days.
Oh, and I finally got the dishes done and kitchen clean. But it's too late to make pies like I wanted to. >:-(

Well, I don't have a blood pressure cuff at home, but it's usually pretty dang low. Like be careful not to stand up too fast kind of low. :)

Look, man, you've already equaled me for the day, you don't have to make me feel like a loser-parent, too... geez...
*mutters something vaguely grumpy about awesome morning people and great parents*
More seriously: hope Tiny T-Rex feels better, soon!
lynora: that's awful! If it goes on for too long, definitely think about seeing a doctor. As John notes, you need to keep track of your blood pressure. I know you've got lots of chronic stuff, but I, at least, want you to be healthy enough to hang out around here, and nosebleeds (while not equally bad for all people) can be pretty bad - especially if they don't stop.
QUASI-EDIT (just before I post): well, if you have normally low blood pressure, that's okay, but in that case, it could be bad to lose too much. Just... take care of yourself, okay?

Meh, I always have this trouble during allergy season. The sneezes irritate my nasal membranes until I've got a veritable fountain of blood going on. And it goes on and on cause I don't clot well. I think it's slowing down now, though. Hopefully I don't sneeze again soon...
Urg. Awful. You have my sympathies. If it's something you know about and deal with regularly, and your doctor is aware of, that's... unpleasant, but probably fine, then.
So, your nosebleeds aren't due to high blood pressure. That's good. Maybe the air's not humid enough, and your nasal passages are drying out.
That happened to me when I went out West. My poor little East-coast nose just shrivel-cracked inside due to lack of water in the air. XD

The air here is crazy dry. Until summer when it will acquire normal humidity and I will feel like I'm trying to swim in the air and can't breathe because I'm not used to so much moisture in the air. I know I should probably get a humidifier, but I'm so used to dry air that I don't like it otherwise. Sigh. Nothing like self-inflicted woes...
Edit: No, I have no idea why the air is so dry. There are a whole lotta lakes around. Not to mention rivers, ponds, etc. My building uses hot water heat for crying out loud! There is no reason it should be so dry! And yet it is. I have no explanation.

I know all about allergies. Sometimes, my eyes swell nearly shut from allergies. I've got to take allergy pills before going to bed, or my sinuses clog up and I can't breathe. Pittsburgh has three rivers, so the humidity doesn't go below a certain level. But I know a little of what you suffer through.
