learning how to play go

keep having my ass handed to me by 25 points on a 5x5 board, by a computer.

Naked gaming?

the suggestion is redundant. ;)

by the way i figured out how to consistently beat the 5x5 board, but playing the 6x6 board has introduced a whole new level of dynamics i have yet to master.

With the Commercial Christmas season upon us i thought i'd share a tip for cheap combat mat paper:-)

I don't know if its true for other big box stores, but Target's Wrapping paper has super handy 1 inch squares on the back of all their cheaper wrapping paper, and is incredibly easy to use for drawing out maps, i've been using it for about three years now and it works great! also it's surprisingly durable.

Neat thingie!

One small things regarding Intelligence score: 3 is lowest sapient being, animal-like intelligence is 1-2. From the reading of the crown I think you wanted the creature to be animal-like in its intelligence - regular Wild Empathy works on magical beasts with Intelligence 1 or 2.

I once broke my toe during a performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, but I finished the show and did two more that weekend. And there was dancing involved!

It's kinda similar.

I've had nights after jr. high concerts where I peeled my shredded lower lip off my braces and packed it with cotton to stop the bleeding. Not playing flute while in braces was an unacceptable solution.

I did a concert of Ralph Vaughan Williams music where the first oboist went into labor but finished the concert before she went to the hospital.

It is! The doctor was pleased. I still have scar tissue adhering to the extensor indices tendon, which causes pain if I really extend the index finger or move it from side to side, but it's much better than it was and we are still working on it.

Since my sister moved to Tucson this summer, she's all freaked out about scorpions. I should share this with her :)

Thanks!

I misremembered the wild empathy ability. So, I fixed the crown's description and the scorpion's Int.

Heh. Considering all the spider and clown images that come across my view thanks to friends, I think that's appropriate.

Oddly, scorpions never bothered me, and I lived in south Texas for a total of 5 years. The latest round was in San Antonio, where our Siamese cat used to hunt scorpions that had gotten into our house. I don't know if Siamese cats are naturally tolerant of scorpion venom, or if he really was that dumb, but stings never deterred him from his hunts.

FINALLY THE HURDLE IS JUMPED AND I CAN FINALLY CARRY ON AS NORMAL.

Mostly anyway. I still actually have to apply the financial aid and then after that there might be some odds and ends that would need to be taken care of via alternative loan or something

Thanks

maybe once I get this operation seriously going my life will finally be on track from both practical and psychological/emotional standpoints.

I said that 2014 was probably the best year of my adult life, relatively speaking, and 2015 might actually be even better.

I got stung by a Scorpion, once.

I was 5 or 6, almost died, obviously I did not. Still between seeing a dead guy at a convenience store and almost getting run over by an out of control pick up truck I've never been back to Texas.

That's also a great reason not to camp in Texas in August, spring for the hotel room people!

Took kitties to vet this morning for their annual checkup and shots. She was impressed with how sweet and well behaved they were. Now that we're home they are planning their revenge. It's only a question of what gets shredded first. ;P
(Actually they were both rescue cats so they freak when we take them out and are just so happy that they actually got to come home that they will mostly forgive the shots. )

Good luck. Cats may PLAY cute and friendly, but they are actually EVIL!!! I have seven cats so I know! ~looks around~ Uh oh! I told everyone their secret, so I am in trouble now. You all have no idea what they do to whistleblowers! I need to hide from my cats!

Did they teach you scar massage? I've had to do it after my various wrist surgeries. It's painful yet useful. In fact, I had to start it again recently when the wrists tightened up, and I haven't had surgery on them in years. But that tight, stretchy feeling is very familiar.

Also, yesterday I got to experience grilling in the pouring rain. It wasn't raining when I bought the steaks, but it was by the time I was cooking them...

Didn't stop me! Also grilled zucchini and red potatoes roasted in duck fat with fresh herbs!

We have a neighbor that grills out in any weather, once saw him grilling in a snowstorm with temps in the teens.

I grilled in a snowstorm once. It was Valentine's day and I was being stupidly romantic. Things turned out... rare.

Treppa, pet the kitten. Petting kittens makes everything better. Even lots and lots of sads.

a dearth of cats in my life as of late has led to the rise of watching cat videos.

I just need cats in my life man.

Conversation between me and my wife's best friend:

WBF: "I've been having such a terrible time lately. Most days I just want to stay in bed and cry all day."
NH: "Hug a cat. Cats are good for that."
WBF: "I'm allergic to cats. You know that."
NH: "Yes. But you'll be so busy sneezing, crying, and struggling to breathe that you'll forget you're sad."
WBF: <Strikes NH with some force>
WBF: "NOW I feel better."
NH: "See? Cats solve everything!"

my macbook air screen has gotten worse. often when i open it or move the screen a glitched strip appears on the front, always in the same spot. i suspect a connector is lose.
