And now fir the Swedish football news of the weekend:
IFK Göteborg won the Gothenburg derby against BK Häcken with 2-1 (although my dad claims that it's debatable if Hisingen where Häcken is from us really a part of Gothenburg as it's on the western bank of the river). WOOHOO!
4 3 0 1 5-2 9
And in the opening round of Division 4 Northern Västergötland (which, despite the name, is the sixth tier of Swedish football), my neighbourhood and childhood team IFK Trollhättan went 20 minutes to the south and drew 1-1 with Edets FK. Meh.
1 0 1 0 1-1 1

It seems that my electric kettle passed away in the night. The LED that illuminates the tank still glows when connected to electricity but the thing does not turn on... Time for a new one. Too fast definitely too fast, what was that, four, five years? Not very long. I might try to take it apart and try to check what's wrong, but I will be getting a new one today anyway. Incidentally, I made myself a pot of tea in the night and forgot about it so now I am drinking cold yesterday tea instead of running to shop.

Dear people on Facebook: despite some passing similarities of name & beard, Ned Stark and Ed Stark are two different people.
Well, they are both white guys with beards. Those dudes're hard to tell apart.
(Just look at captain yesterday, Eddie Vedder, and Generic Jesus (tm)!)
To buy or not to buy unchained, these are the questions that plague my mind on a sunday.
Same, but with the Deskari miniature instead.
These are both extremely valid soul-worthy questions.
Mine this Sunday was: "Wh- ... wait, what? Huh? Have I played KotOR II two before?! No... I know it was only KotOR... but... this looks so familiar. Hey! Wait! They're talkin' 'bout Revan! I have played this game! But... no, wait, that doesn't make any sense. Hold on, I've never seen this scene... but I've seen this one. Now we're going to Dantooine, Tatooine, Telos... I have played this game before! ... wait. No, no, I've never seen this, I haven't played this game before. WAIT! I REMEMBER THIS! I must have... oh, wait, no, that's not how that goes at all..." and so on.
Long story short, I still have no idea if I've played KotOR II before or not. Some things feel so daggum familiar - even some of the story plots - but... other things just feel so... alien. It's weird.
Good game, though!

Back when I started out working as a substitute teacher I spent a few months as assistant teacher for a class of 8-year-olds. One day we went to the nearby church so the priest could show off the parish's dolls. When she took out the Jesus one (you know what it looks like, long hair, beard, strangely pale skin for a guy born in the Middle East), one of the girls called out, "He looks like Kajehase."

Look, mistakes were made. At least he's not (well, is rarely) depicted as blonde anymore...

Also, 4 Chords is ludicrously good. (As is evidenced by the songs they sample by nature of said four chords.)
((Clean version linked. There is a slightly different version on Axis of Awesome's page, which is also (mostly) really good, too, but it's not... "clean", as they quote a different "line" from their "Birdplane" song.))

Hmmm, although, I do like being flogged and told I'm bad.

Who knows what side he is on. He does have an angle and he can be very obtuse. His acute distaste of math does subtract from his appeal. His hate derives from some fration of an imaginary value. He also does not like pi too much.

Curse your g$$#@$n f$%+ing s#$* wintermajig Freehold, it's snowing in April! April I say it never snows in Apr-..... never mind forgot where I lived for a minute there, carry on :-)
NobodysWife is complaining about the bitter cold (55 F) this morning.
Of course, I turned off the heat back at the end of February, so I suspect "room temperature" indoors here is a bit lower than most humans would care for.

I turn the heat on in the mornings, but in the evenings it's usually better to keep the fan running. Haven't had to use the AC much yet, thankfully.
Been keeping the apartment comfortably consistently between 65 and 70.
What is this "AC" you speak of? :-P
I swear, the people who built houses in the Bay Area were so enamored of the climate they just couldn't comprehend anyone wanting silly things like insulation, heat, or cooling. "Yah. The house never gets below 50 in the winter, nor over 90 in the summer. Good enough. Let's move on."
(Spoken with a Swedish accent for reasons totally unknown to me.)
Wasting money on actually keeping the house between 65 and 75? Unheard of!

55 degrees?
Sounds wonderfully nipply.
