Looking for a part time job and figuring out what schools to apply for to work on my bachelors degree. I definitely want to do online classes so I can have a flexible schedule so that narrows things down a little. And I need to find scholarships to pay for it. I have too much student loan debt already.
Also, one week before the entry exam to University...

Thinking about canceling AT&T. Bastards are trying to charge me $99 because I asked them to come out a second time and set up the cable boxes they way they failed to the first time.
Oh good. It's not just me.
Thinking about canceling my Cox subscription and switching to LUS fiber. (Local version of AT&T basically) Morons tried to double my bill last month because the 'special pricing' I've been on for SIX YEARS is over and not being renewed. WHen I griped they fawned over me (Verbally. Ewww.) ;P and kept telling me they would hate to lose such a loyal customer.
I (almost politely) explained that I was not a loyal customer. I am a broke one. My loyalty only extends as far as their loyalty to me. If they are going to try and gouge me for double the fee, I can go to the competition and pay even less than I was with them.
It is amazing how quickly they discovered new discounts they could apply to my bill. Still higher than it was. But not double.
Still thinking about dropping them. They ticked me off. And I'll get a better rate if I drop for a year and then come back as a 'new' customer.

So it is finally here. I spend the night in a hotel out near the airport. Tomorrow at 1 I fly out and leave Saskatoon forever. Sometime about midnight to 7pm (damned timezones confuse me) I will leave Canada and will arrive at about 10am in London Heathrow. Spend the night in a hotel not to far from the airport, and early am on the 23rd I will arrive at my new place in Bedfordshire. I can't imagine how folks did this trip 100 years ago :S

Sometime about midnight to 7pm (damned timezones confuse me) I will leave Canada and will arrive at about 10am in London Heathrow. Spend the night in a hotel not to far from the airport, and early am on the 23rd I will arrive at my new place in Bedfordshire. I can't imagine how folks did this trip 100 years ago :S

We are seeing some positive signs from Dad. He's still in ICU, but we may have turned the corner.
Time will tell. I have to say I'm very impressed with Scott and White's ICU nursing staff. Very sharp and knowledgeable.
Dad's brother came into town Sunday. It was a good visit.

We are seeing some positive signs from Dad. He's still in ICU, but we may have turned the corner.
Time will tell. I have to say I'm very impressed with Scott and White's ICU nursing staff. Very sharp and knowledgeable.

Well, while anxiously awaiting his flight to the UK, Jeremy decided to change his destination at the last minute and travel to fun-filled Equatorial New Guinea. Meanwhile, Holger and Gary's planned reunion atop the Empire State Building was disrupted when the city was attacked by a giant, mutant platypus. And, across town, Mike excitedly prepared for his new job as a lead technician for the Loverboy reunion......No, wait! That's my soap opera!
