Only 5-½ left until Sweden takes on Switzerland in the men's curling. The tension is unbearable.

Saw some of the GB women curling's team in training. Wow, they were really pumping some iron and doing heavy weigh training.

Guess all that high-speed sweeping is tougher than it looks.

And the GB women start in 9-½ hour - against Sweden...

A couple, yeah. Not like I've got a shot in hell.

Lots of people arguing online about things that don't actually matter, and it's really bumming me out. Why the f#@! can't people just treat each other like adults and acknowledge that people have different feelings and experiences?

Where's Elvis Costello when you need him...

You couldn't get most people to understand good music, or civility, or respect, or tolerance, even if you tried to beat it into them repeatedly over the head with a 50 lb. circa 1980s boombox.

I chalk it up to human nature. Humanity spent anywhere from 10k to 100k years in some kind of constant armed conflict. The world being relatively at peace* is not even a century old. So when you can't fight each other, you argue a lot.

*Compared to just about any other era of human history, the modern era is pretty much world peace incarnate. And even then, most of the modern era has been ruled by conflict.

Either that or "Let Them Dangle."

I should start assembling Wayfinder submissions... I have unfinished monster now...

A wonderful weekend full of unexpected awesome Roleplaying. Wife stole the show yesterday in Darklight Sisterhood, getting a natural twenty on a diplomacy check and the perfect plot twist cardto go aalong with it, making a difficult encounter much easier as the thirteen specters turned on each other, fighting until they turned into wraiths (my decision on what happens when undead of that type attack each other and do enough "damage" ). Also another party member got separated from the group due to her headstrong nature and ended up talking with one of the bosses of the dungeon, a mummy Lord that watches over the place. She was ready to backstab everyone to get out of it (and they were ready to leave her behind), it was hilarious. The bad guy then attacked in a badass style (gave him a baseball bat that attacks like a great club), but we had to stop for the evening.

Great night.

Awesome news, Freehold! :D

Evening shift today. So little time before going to work...

And so, I bring you greetings FAWTLY Folk, on this Monday, the 10th day of the 2nd month, in the year of our Lord two-thousand and fourteen.

Because, why the f&&* not.

Wicked fog this morning. Almost forgot how bad that shit can be down south.

Scarab Sages

Walking Dead is back, which is FAWESOME! Very saddened by all the zombie kills, however. And it was too late to watch Talking Dead afterwards, so I shall do that tonight.

Not sure if I mentioned this, but we're going to have a pirate theme for Charlie's birthday. If the weather holds out, we're gonna have a pirate bounce house thing. And the wife is going to make a pirate ship cake. And, I think she found a template for pirate hats.

It feels so awesome to plan a big party for my boy.

Edit: fixed to spelling "correction". Thanks Orthos!

Scarab Sages

Although I'm not sure if "big" is really the word. We're only sending out about 7 or 8 invitations. But that's way more than in the past.

By Cape I presume you mean Cake?

Scarab Sages

Speaking of invites, I've got to give someone a call and get their address.
