Made my character a coat of arms. Cause she sorta needed on.
Boar-octopus?
Also, what's the gold thing?

"Ya gotta get rid of that monkey!"
Spank it & send it home?
My friend didn't get a second copy of that*, someone else grabbed it first.

A bee-hive, cause she's a sweet honey.

WOOOOO HAPPY THANKSGIVING AEGLOS! MAY YOUR POSSUM ARRIVE SOON!!! I had hoped it would arrive around thansgiving so I could include you in the thanksgiving prayer at my godmother's, but I will pray for the safe arrival of yours and Aberzombie's level 1 zombie instead.

After several weeks of trying to tough it out, Crazy finally admitted that it wasn't just a cold after all (*sigh*), and that a visit to the clinic might be indicated - on the day before Thanksgiving! I told him to take his laptop along, or at least a book, since he'd probably have to wait for awhile. He came home with major antibiotics and a scolding from the nurse practitioner, who told him not to wait so long the next time.... *Looks up at the sky* Why me, gods? I told him - well, that's my answer right there, isn't it. At any rate, hopefully he'll be able to sleep through the night again.
May all you FAWTLers have a great Thanksgiving (those who are celebrating it), and an equally marvelous Thursday to all the rest of you. *Headbonks* to all!
What's important is that he is being treated now. I'm sorry he waited so long, but let's be fair- I would probably still be waiting! I'm glad he could get treatment in time for turkey day so that he could enjoy it with you! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

British are terribly undecided on what they want in CV - each site and template I see is different and they often contradict each other about order of presentation or expected information.
Maybe you should do a Choose Your Own Adventure resume?

Well, FAWTLers, it's been the usual war with the pie crust, and once again, I lost. I don't get it. My mom, my sister-in-law, my best friend's daughter - they all say, "Pssht, there's nothing to it!", and turn out these lovely, flaky creations that could win the state fair. I....produce concrete. As in, break-you-teeth, you-could-use-this-for-battleship-deck-plating hard. Everything else, I can do. Turkey, no sweat. Stuffing and side dishes, ditto. Pie crust - well, at this point I should probably throw my paws up and admit that it just isn't going to happen. At least the pumpkin part will taste good!

Crazy got an actual night's sleep, and the cough is getting better. My parents are okay, so are the rest of the relatives, and you guys all rock. Happy Thanksgiving, all.

Out of morbid curiosity, what recipe are you using? And how are you mixing in the butter/margarine? I'm trying to figure out how that is even possible. My mom had the same problem with pie crust and I had less than stellar results with mine until I found a better recipe than she was using.
This year is actually the first time I got the pumpkin filling 'right'. My previous efforts were perfectly fine, but not just like the pies from the store and my family was not happy with the difference. This was the first time I got the whole pie right. Didn't need the backup frozen pie after all. :)

I use the one my sister-in-law gave me, and she's gone and taken classes in food chemistry(!). For a 2-crust pie: 2 c flour, 1 tsp salt, mix, add 3 cold tbsp shortening (she uses Crisco. I use Crisco), blend w/pastry blender until you get little pebbles. Add 3 more tbsp shortening, blend, blend, blend until it looks like cornmeal. Add 1 tbsp ice water at a time, using your hand to work the ingredients together until it all forms a ball. Roll out with plenty of flour on a silicone mat, and that gets my SIL fantastic results every time. I've watched her do it. I've done the same damned thing, and I still get cement. *Throws paws up* If you've got a better idea how I could propitiate the Pastry Gods, I'd be thrilled to hear it.

Good Thanksgiving lunch, leftovers for dinner, burned an evening playing Final Fantasy, reading Terry Pratchett, and listening to awesome music. Time to snooze it all off and repeat the process tomorrow and Saturday, plus Kingmaker tomorrow night!
Anybody who has the unfortunate luck to be out of the house over the next two days, drive safely and be careful, and may God have mercy on your soul.
