True love.
Some people have cats that bring home dead mice. I have a roommate that brings home decapitated zombie hookers.

My friends who attended Cornell couldn't stand to work there for long post-grad because of the isolation. It has a hella high suicide rate. I think they just fenced in a campus bridge this last school year because of so many jumpers. Gorgeous but isolated is the verdict.

28 hours left until my vacation begins!
And morning to you all.
Went up to bed earlier (i.e. around 3), woke up at 8. Slept some more. Got woken up at eleven. *sigh*
Dreamed a dream about walking and seeking secret passages in old house and its cellars. It had something to do with being part of (probably) archaeology student group.
Was pretty tired yesterday, decided not to try and write that Kingmaker recap yet. Still kinda exhausted, didn't sleep so well (woke up at 6 AM for no reason) and dad's been a more annoying jerk than usual lately. He basically called me and my sister a pair of losers who just freeload "in his house", thinking this would somehow motivate us when all it does is make us hate him all the more due to how lousy he is as a parent. I'll find a way to cheer myself up, but I'll probably not stay home for long today.
*sigh* Some people seem to have children only to be able to be jerks to them.
One of my players hinted that her mother belonged to that category too. It might be telling that she is from around Gdańsk (aka Danzig) and ended on the other side of the Poland.

LGBT thread was such a nice and friendly and cozy thread before 3.5 Loyalist started to post there.
Oh yeah, Drejk. I have a few friends with parents like that.
It's a shame really, seeing the effects of lousy parenting on other people.
Some of them are worse than my dad, while others aren't as bad. Doesn't really give much comfort, though.
Drejk wrote: LGBT thread was such a nice and friendly and cozy thread before 3.5 Loyalist started to post there. That other guy just made it worse, though. Also, we probably shouldn't bring up other threads or people around here like that.
Yeah, they might come here.
You think they have scripts running that search the forums for their names and respond to them?

Also, good morning FAWTLY Folk!! Happy Tuesday!!!

My Wayfinder #10 submission is slowly coming together. And if I recall correctly, the submission deadline is the end of September. Who knows? I might have the time and inspiration to do a second submission.
For now, however, I must away. There are oily and gassy things which need doing!
Yay, Tuesday. 3.5 game cancelled and I'm still trying to decide whether to get XCom game, though I don't really need another time sink, but looks really fun.
Still, got a game on Thursday as we near the conclusion of a campaign.

And that reads way more perverted than it types.

Didn't want anyone to think I was ragging on Canada, because I adore that country.

I find washing dishes by hand very relaxing.

Please? I find washing dishes by hand very relaxing. Then come on over. I have a sink full of dishes and no energy to get up and wash them.
It would not allow you writing congratulations without spaces? Your auto-correct is really mean.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

I'm alive again. Stupid con crud!
Plus I ended up taking care of my daughter who had her wisdom teeth extracted last week, while my wife ended up going on a business trip to Miami.
So, hello! I hope I didn't miss much while I was away.

Too late, I just did them. You can clean the rest of the apartment if you want, though. It really needs it.

you got con plague?
I did indeed. Fortunately, my daughter avoided getting it, so she wasn't ill on top of having her wisdom teeth taken out.
It basically acted like the cold I recovered from a week before I went to GenCon. Evidently, I can't average 5 hours of sleep a night and expect not to get sick.

*gives high five to Taig, Shiny and everyone else who contributed to Wayfinder #8*
Yay!!!

con plague sucks. I got horrifyingly ill after a comic con one year, almost hung up my male pride and went to the doctor, but I healed up eventually.

I hope you and your daughter are well.
I need to see to Diane. She had some post op pain last night bad enough for an ER visit, and I need to call my Dad.
Later!

In other news, I am bored at work.
You have given me an idea, FHDM.

Going to try to get library cards. If the USPS address change isn't proof of residence, I don't know what is. Even the court in NY recognized it for Santa Claus' letters!

Here you are.
I am now amused. Thank you.
Also, I have come to the realization that my current phone is faster-much faster- than my old phone. Play by post may be possible. Will start rolling up character for Jess Doors worldwound campaign.

I hope you and your daughter are well. Thanks! She's recovered for her surgery, and she was well enough to start school yesterday.
