In other words: I played Elder Signs with my brother and his friend last night.
Funny, I thought for sure I had clothes on last night when we played....
Grrrrrr.....
While I'm happy to see my coworker (and assistant project lead) back in the office, if I catch whatever's been making him sick I'm gonna be pissed.

And, with that joyfull thought careening through the labyrinthine corridors of my psyche, I shall bid you all good day. Time to do some engineering type stuff.

A urinary tract infection?

Man, the mythic wyvern looks like it just told a bad joke and is waiting for a reaction.
"GET IT? GET IT? HU...oh you don't speak Draconic THEN YOU MUST DIE"
I should probably not be allowed to act on this sleep-deprivation-induced whim of PCs raiding a monster comedy club.

"Yeeeeah there's a reason this bar has a kid menu. Ain't ya seen the monsters?"
"It's not right to serve underage minors."
"Yeah but they taste so good with the right seasoning."
So many hideous laughter effects.
Culminating in a slam poetry showdown or something versus the party face.
But that's all obviously a bad idea.
And this is why I can't homebrew without oversight.
Wouldn't help that this would be the crucial ambience setting music.

Since there's no Kingmaker this week, I have a lot more time to plan for the next session. I'm going to take bits and pieces of ideas from the threads around here (such as Hargulka's Monster Kingdom) while dropping some ideas of my own (related to the player characters as well as the followers of Gyronna) into this campaign. I've gained more inspiration thanks to the fact that this time the players are even more interested in the RP and the immersion. Hell, my old DM gave praise on how well the first session went, and he's usually the first one to point out flaws.

And it's Thursday so tonight is game night! (Unless the GM's baby reacts badly to shots today, in which case might be no session.)
So yes, lovely Thursday indeed =D
About 22 degree Celsius here... Night are really cool now.
Morning, all. What did I miss?
ok responsibilities first
then I am going to buy all the things

Oh right, breakfast is a thing.

A holiday today. 93rd anniversary of battle of Warsaw (date of holiday arbitrary picked from Aug 12-25 range because of coinciding church holiday) and a Day Of Polish Armed Forces.
No love for the Three-Day Battle of Warsaw? :p
of course breakfast is a thing because you have to have nutrition
Yeah but I'm comfortable.
Drejk wrote: About 22 degree Celsius here... Night are really cool now. Down to 5 degrees at night here. I'm still wearing shorts for work, though - yay for getting warm by running about!
*gets on soapbox*
It's important to eat breakfast! It stimulates your metabolism throughout the day and helps control cravings!

True, although it does depend on what you're craving.
:P

[contrarian silliness] Of course, some of us get home from work, have breakfast, and then go to bed. [/contrarian silliness]

:P Better not be what pretty much everyone involved in the making of Be Here Now are supposed to have been craving during the recording.

:P Also - is that a Subbuteo on one of the tables? Very rock'n'roll. *sniggers*
G~$ d$!nit! I nearly bought the pdf for one of the books in my subscription. *facepalm*
*apologizes to all the other Oasis-fans for bringing up the stuff made after the What's the Story (Morning Glory) album*
So tempted to pick up Worldwound Incursion...

woohoo got my Mythic pdf and the Demon Hunter's Handbook pdf
I unsubscribed for WotR, and now that I may be playing, I am glad to have done so.
In the meantime, I am starting to collect non-mint copies of Shattered Star, since I did not have a subscription during that one and I want more Lovecraftian goodness.
I'm interested in eventually running a modified version for my group's homebrew setting.
So I've no idea what I'll be running, or if I'll be running a game at the end of September. Seems like it'll be one of my improv games, where I make up rubbish & stress about it all week.
I've got enough on my plate as is... Kingmaker, then Savage Tide, then either my homebrew story or Crimson Throne, then the other, then War of the Burning Sky, then another homebrew I've been wanting to do for quite some time, then....
We have the reverse problem of a lot of groups - too many DMs.
Yeah, we have a few GM's at our club. However quite a few players and sometimes it's tricky avoiding burnout, etc.
We possibly have 20+ players and 2 regular GMs, 1-2 semi-regular & 1-2 more potential (inexperienced/bad) GM. But with the # of players we end up needing 3 or 4 games running, which logistically can be tough.
O_o
Yeah we have four constant players - all four of which have expressed some interest in GMing or are currently doing so - and four more players who are in one of the two active games and not GMs. But there's only really time, between all our schedules and time zones, for the two game night slots we have - trying to put together a third game didn't work out well in the past.
Of course, this is a club. So there can be some people who we don't/wouldn't play a home game with, it's a bit like a US FLGS in that respect.
Thus it can also get slightly cliquey & there is the rivalry with the wargamers.

The only game we have running currently is being run by my son in law. It has 6 players, but getting everyone together on time on Saturdays can be a challenge.
We've got Orthos' KM and my CoT, both currently on a between-chapter break while one of the other players runs a one-shot module.
currently running Skull & Shackles for my home group
another player in my home group runs RotRL for all of us and he and I trade off chapters
this started after he did the first two of RotRL and started to get a bit burnt out
I stepped in with Ch 1 of S&S and now that I have completed it, he is back to doing Ch 3 of RotRL for all of us in the group
other than that, weekly PFS playing at various stores to help promote/grow SoCal PFS, with me usually GMing now 1-2 PFS events a month
Lamontia is the big organizer though, I usually just GM in her events
