Ack, are you guys in that area? We missed you! Curse the lack of connectivity of late! All we did was crash, though. Motel 6 FTW.

S'ok, was more likely than not at work anyway.

Glad to hear you made it in one piece!

I found that the toughest part about moving to a dry climate hits you about a week later when you find yourself waking up with a sore throat every day. I found that I had to change some habits with regard to water consumption, moisturizing, etc, to combat the dry air.

Silver Crusade

Also, are you guys staying with somebody in Denver? I don't think you mentioned what kind of arrangements you made there.

Silver Crusade

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Silver Crusade

I am on the hunt for cheap movers who can pick up 3 furniture pieces I left at my old apartment (one of which is a heavy-as-hell pull-out sofa) to bring to the new place. I don't have enough people to move all that stuff for me.

What I am finding is the movers all want to bill for a 4 hour labor minimum here. It is a 2 hour job, including drive time! For that kind of money, I could buy new furniture! Ugh. Don't know what to do... I have to get this taken care of this weekend.

It's dry, but I already use lotion and -- I have a CPAP with a humidifier for nighttime use. I'm much better off in the mornings than the Puffin, who wakes up with a dry beak.

Post the old stuff on freecycle or Craigslist and buy new.

We haven't gotten to work on it so much so for now it's only an idea between two friends, though if I do become a professional writer some day I'll make use of that idea one way or another. I could write out a script and my friend would draw it out as a comic, or we could go for something even more ambitious as time goes on.

stops holding back manly tears I will purchase your work! In the meantime you might want to check out fanfiction.net- there was quite the super robot wars community there a few years back, but I think that centered around one of the in game universes (of which there are a lot).

I love popping the tops on bottles that haven't been opened since we left St. Louis, and hearing the psssht of escaping pressure.

Bah! That seems wasteful, since it is only going about 30 miles. I feel like I should be able to find someone who will do it for $200.

I enjoy this part myself. I just have no idea how to go about getting stuff submitted for publishing, or what anyone outside my own group wants. (Probably doesn't help that we don't play in Golarion.)
Monsters elude me. Dungeon design likewise. NPC stats? Gimme an excel sheet and srd access stat.
Yay complementary partnership? I can make NPCs obviously, but I enjoy monsters more.

I find that monsters and npcs can be exhausting to create- I used to make one a day and save it to my one-a-day folder, nowadays i just create npcs randomly(or use an old creation) and use the plethora of monsters available in bestiaries and on a certain badger-created website.

Your time and aggravation is worth something. If nothing else, it's a fallback plan for the weekend if you don't find a good mover.

And too far north for me to have come up and said high on your way past Treppa. Le Sigh.

Yeah, it was a long detour to swing by your neck of the woods, CJ, and our resources are still very tight.

The Exchange

Well I would have come up, met you in Salina but resources are tight right now here too.

I hear that. Maybe another time. I was very sorry to have to miss meeting you.

Good hydration helps with adjusting to the altitude.

Welcome to Colorado!

The dry air can definitely be rough on the sinuses.

I can identify with that, but I have a pathological hatred of waste.

And oh, I created an account on fanfiction.net ages ago, but never used it.

I'm more of the original story kind of guy than a fanfic guy, even though I've done both. XD

Quite improving. Not fixed yet, (but please don't tell the vet) but soon.

The weather has been improving, as such my knee is not killing me anymore. I love rain, don't get me wrong, but it has been raining off and on for about 4 weeks now. I feel waterlogged. Thankfully the forecast says we will be dry all week.

CJ, you and BT are neighbors?

I'm in Colorado Springs CO. I think CJ is in Kansas.

I'm in Wichita, so southeast of BT, as well as now, Stud Puffin and our lovely Treppa and South South West of Scintillae.

4 hours to drive to Colorado Springs maybe 1 1/2 up to Topeka. 6 to 8 hours downwards to Dallas and Heathy.

Topeka's about an hour north-ish from here. Wichita's close to four hours south.

Granted, when I drove down south, I was not heading to Wichita and thus directed via several smaller highways rather than the interstate.

Sounds like my niece (Ebon's daughter), except it's "Mine?" or "Give!" or of course "Mom!" in her case.

She tends to be talkative enough to be heard when we're on Skype. =)

Is she still in the "everything goes straight to the mouth" phase?
