That's right around my niece's birthday (Feb 9)

Naked February is the best February. My B-Date is February 9th. That will make him an Aquarius by Gaean default

Over a week before my birthday (that's why I asked).

Rain! This time for reals! Cool air! Cool air! I can breathe!

Seeing 8th Dwarf post on LGBT thread reminded me that one of a fellow gamers from Kraków (and a roommate of my Pathfinder players) just went to Melbourne for a semester on some sort of student exchange.

I am on FaWtL since the late June of last year. Over a year and a month... It feels like it was longer - in a positive sense.

FAWTL is sort of like an addiction in that manner.

"Have I really been doing this for only a year and a month?"

Or the opposite...

"Have I really been doing this for 4 years? What am I doing with my life?"

Silver Crusade

(And just passed 7 years on the forums in general. Wow.)

Five years as of the beginning of July.

Will be four from my first FAWTL post this coming November.

In happier news how have you all been.

I would tell your doctor about this. The meds might not be working the way they are supposed to.

Also, weren't you supposed to be coming to Philly and/or New York at some point?

I am indeed when the husband gets it booked through his supervisor. I will be coming with him.

You won't be gone for long, subscription tag! I just thought it would be a good idea to see other people (i.e. buy other Paizo products) for a while. Maybe we'll shack up again in 6 months...

Funny how many people get upset at not getting a poster-map in a comic book when Paizo has two product-lines for people who want maps...

In other news, the local police seems to have found the body of a 23-year-old woman who used to date a guy that went to my school at roughly the same time as me. (He's being held by Polish police while the extradition process is going on.)

And I know you shouldn't judge people beforehand, but the guy's been beating up on girlfriends since he was a teenager, got his first conviction when he was 15 (for burning down the mosque [Sweden's first - they rebuilt it bigger]), and have been involved with Nazi-organisations for most of the time since the mid-90's.

Jeremy: Good to see you around again, but sorry to hear about your troubles. Hang in there.

Aeglos: February 16 is a wonderful day for a birthday. I tried to talk Sara Marie into that date, but no dice.

We have our moving sale tomorrow, then are packing and selling big stuff Sunday/Monday/Tuesday, then will be moving (driving) Wednesday and possibly Thursday, depending if we make enough during the sale for both gas and a hotel room. I sure hope we make enough for gas, at least! It's a long walk to Denver.

In related news, I ordered non-mint copies of the first two volumes of Shattered Star, since I did not have a subscription when that came out. The Lovecrafty stuff is up my alley, so I plan to collect them.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love non-mint copies?

Good luck on the sale and the move, Treppa!

Thanks CH. Not looking forward to it, but looking forward to it being over. I cannot imagine two trans-contentinental moves in a year. You must have been at wit's end.

Good luck with the move to higher ground Treppa.

Poland as a place for seeking asylum? Not a best choice. Place to hide? A bit better.

Any of FaWtLies in Kansas? Could one of our folk won that 1 million $ in powerball or what-it's-called.

Indeed. This current move will be my 4th in the last 2 years. Hopefully I won't have to move again for awhile.

And yeah, the cross-country ones were rough.

(Also noted, for those who send Christmas cards: For the 4th year in a row, I have a new address.)

Is Crimson Jester the newest multi-millionaire?! ;)

At least in your case, CH, it's a move due to happy cause.

At best millionaire... IIRC the article said $1 million...

So my grandmother passed away Wednesday night. The funeral is tomorrow, still not bad to lose your first grandparent at 38.

Not this Kansan; that would imply luck being in my favor for something other than my oracle's attack rolls.

Heheh, the dream team for this week's Kingmaker is complete!

Long post is long!

Ciaran (Tiefling Magus / Barbarian, Chaotic Neutral) - An enigmatic tiefling born to a tribe of barbarians somewhere in the River Kingdoms, Ciaran was abandoned at a young age in the area of Sevenarches due to exhibiting fiendish qualities. There he survived for months on his own against all manner of beasts with a rough mix of sheer brutality and latent arcane power before he was taken under the wing of a nymph named Líadáin. Sensing potential in the young man, she soon taught him how to better wield both his fury and his magic, gifting him with an enchanted spear once his training was complete. Having then left to wander the River Kingdoms as he had taken an interest to the world outside the druidic woods, he received an ominous message from his mentor during his visit to the nation of Brevoy, telling him to go to the Stolen Lands as she said that his destiny would await him there.

Kiriv Ikitclaw (Ratfolk Fighter / Ranger, Alignment Unknown) - One of the few bounty hunters working in Alkenstar, Kiriv had earned the grudging respect of the Shieldmarshals despite being a ratfolk. Hunting down criminals for the benefit of himself as well as for that of his family, he was one day forced to leave the safety of his home after finding out that his beloved animal companion had been stolen by poachers. Chasing them across Avistan for some time, he soon found himself in the northern country of Brevoy, hearing that the hunters had planned to hand over the animal as an offering to a bandit lord to the south of the nation. As he saw that there was a price on the man's head, he quickly took up the job, intent on both collecting his bounty as well as getting back his hunting partner.

Oruda (Hobgoblin Ninja, Lawful Neutral) - Formerly an enforcer of the harsh laws of Kaoling, the agent named Oruda realized through his reading into the teachings of Abadar that his own ideals clash with those of his more ruthless kin. After an argument with a sergeant led to trouble, Oruda left towards the west to find a new life for himself. To his luck, the nation of Brevoy seemed unfamiliar with those of his kind, mistaking him for an exceptionally ugly half-orc from some exotic place. Hearing of the untamed lands to the south, he decided to take up the job to find a place for himself as well as bring order to a chaotic land in need of the gifts of civilization.

Sage Ravell (Human Wizard, True Neutral) - The heir of the merchant house of Ravell in Absalom, the scholarly but aged man called Sage has graduated both from the Arcanamirium as well as from one of the arcane universities of Quantium. His youthful days were spent adventuring, though he had many times been called to look after the business of his family, which at least once was on the verge of collapse yet saved by his wise decisions. Though nearing a venerable age, the dullness of serving as a teacher failed to interest him as much as the call to adventure, and his recent visitation to Brevoy had taken an interesting twist after he had heard of political troubles across the country as well as of a reward for people brave enough to venture to the mysterious Stolen Land to the south.

So much WoW playing now. Not healthy......
But Must get 200 mounts achievement......

Just got back in my room from the dealers room. Man what a great day. Loved every second although my feet are sore. Sold so much H it's not funny. It doesn't even FEEL like work. There was a time in the fandom when there was no netflix, no hulu, no cartoon network, no internet, when it was all about getting it to other people. I would like to think I connect to those days when I'm behind the dealers table.
