I'm very excited that a certain doom-laden module is, as I type, on its way to me.

Scarab Sages

Or should that be DOOM-laden?

You realize, of course, Mike that now you have to develop a module wherein the villain is an awakened, rabid dire badger.

Hooray!!

I'd have to find a publisher who would be willing to publish something with such a weird antagonist. :)

Ahh, been a busy couple of weeks, but i still live.

I heard through the grapevine that the zombie has stopped dropping hints about moving to Texas and has openly admitted he is coming now? Is this correct?

Oh yeah. It's, uh, A Clockwork Orange Gnome, or something like that.

Indeed. If all goes well (or at least not apocalyptic), I shall be an official dweller in Houstonland by the first week of July. A quick turn around time, with lots to get accomplished between now and then, but I figure sanity is way overrated anyway.......

"There's no place like gnome."

Also, hope things are good with you, Jess.

This is a test of the Emergency Broadcast System. The broadcasters of your area in voluntary cooperation with federal, state and local authorities have developed this system to keep you informed in the event of an emergency. If this had been an actual emergency, the Attention Signal you just heard would have been followed by official information, news or instructions. This concludes this Emergency Broadcast System Test.

I just used that analog in the group I ran.

yeah, we need to watch out. That Tales of Agartha PBP thread is rapidly catching up.

^.^

This is actually my excuse for not posting more here....they suck up all my time. :D

I miss that freeform game we used to play before the Great Purge. We used to have the OTD scattered with threads/realms.

Yeah, that was an awesome game. We used a lot of inspiration from that in creating the newest Agartha game. Things like always open to new players, folks playing multiple characters, multiple people running story lines, etc. We had to make some changes to the format (one referee to oversee it all - that would be me, some stats and dice rolls to help keep things fair and introduce some elements of randomness) but there's some of that same feel. Still, it's not the Paizo Drama Society. :)

What I miss most about it was the ability to move the game over several location based threads. That would be sooooo handy, but it doesn't work well in the PBP section. :(

What is this freeform stuff you speak of? And this Agartha stuff?

Sounds like stuff that would make my head explode. ;P

Another crappy day. At least this time it didn't leave the prickly mass of frustration after taste that yesterday did. 2013 is not shaping up to being a very good year for this dwarf.

at least there is Family, FaWtL, and gaming.

I am really looking forward to Memorial Day.

On a brighter note, I still plan to attend Gen Con with my family this year. Has anyone signed up for events? I missed the big opening day sign up, and I haven't looked to see what's left. Perhaps we can game together.

Off to bed, still sickie-like with my own bird flu, must collect fairs tomorrow as a cabbie, will order something from Paizo this week, I swear on my failing health.

I did manage to see Star Trek: Into Darkness and I will say it was a significant improvement over the last movie. Besides, I want federation "dreadnaught class" assault vessel all my own.

So, my company announced its plans to move to downtown Detroit in February, complete with city taxes and traffic jams, but they will provide parking. Starting to see some long-term, senior people leaving. Asked one what her reasons were and it was mostly the move. Took her 3 months to find a new job.

Back in the day, when I was involved in looking at a possible move like this, HR predicted a 20% loss in workforce.

Wonder what it's going to shape up to in this economy. :/

I like bacon-wrapped scallops. Every once in a while, you find bacon-wrapped water chestnuts in place of scallops, and they are hard to tell apart. I find water chestnuts to be positively foul, so I usually just eat the bacon off of those and throw away the water chestnut. Still, it tends to disappoint because I am expecting a delicious scallop.

Sorry to hear about all the crappiness going around.

More bacon for everyone!

Long day was long. Sleep. Sleep is good.

Work, why did you make me wide awake when I need to want sleep?

Silver Crusade

Aurgh. Missed the Personality Typing portion of this thread. I wonder if there are any more INFJ's on the board...

Celestial Healer wrote:

To counter the crappiness somewhat I'll mention that I got the money for the two weeks of leave I didn't take last year.

5000 extra SKr straight into the bank. Oh yeah!

INFJs? Is that some sort of Lovecraftian monster?

Trying to stay positive when things go crappy.

Some days, I wish I didn't care. I wish I could go back to moving through life in an apathetic haze.

Only slept six hours, woke up groggy.

Still feeling kinda groggy at the moment.

Also, I usually hate it when one of my two player groups is a bunch of derps.

But the darn picture they had made just for the Legacy of Fire campaign was hilarious, and so very derp.

you wouldn't be allowed to keep any sanity once you were on Houston anyway, so no worries. Just hope your intro to the city is less intense than mine. Thank you so much, Ike.

I test as INTJ. Most friends insist I'm INTP. Dunno why that is.

Sigh, I'm up way too late to be leaving on a trip tomorrow and not have packed yet.

Jess Door wrote:

I am entp I think. I have to check.

Quite decidedly INFP here. Not surprised that many are testing as introverted on a gaming forum though. Introverts are fun!

So, I may or may not have just screwed myself over and have to graduate a semester later than planned.

I didn't submit my practicum. Without the submitted practicum and signature assignment (5 lesson plans), I fail the class regardless of test scores. I typed it up in the submission box, and *I* can access it fine. But since I never clicked the submit box, my professor never received it. Thus, I failed the class.

I'm trying to work with the professor (who is admittedly awesome for even listening to my freakout). However, the student teaching office e-mailed and said that if I have to repeat the class, I won't be able to student teach until the spring (instead of August as planned).

Spilling my guts here because I *still* haven't told my dad. I'm hoping that the professor will take the late assignment, but haven't heard back about that yet.

Come on, you're young. You should be able to stay functional on 5 or 6 hours of sleep every second day! ;)

First of all, hugs.
Secondly, remember things don't always work out to the best laid plans - life has a habit of kicking us all in the rear. Sometimes these things are for the best, sometimes they end annoyingly.
Thirdly, we are all here for you. And I hope things resolve themselves well, that your professor accepts it.
Lastly, sorry. Just trying to come up with some consoling words.
