Dude, do not make the mistake I did. I wish I had called a plumber to do that part for me... of course I wish I could have afforded to call one. :/

Good luck!

plumbing is one of those things that looks deceptively easy but can lead to a lot of headaches. YouTube the crap out of EVERYTHING - the sink itself, how to turn offtyour water supply, music videos about zombies vs. Sinks- anything ever remotely related to your situation. Good luck man!

Ahem.. I said YouTube, not that other tube site with the nekkidness and such...

Also, I'm posting from the bathroom, brushing my teeth, shaving, and otherwisestartijf, the day. The guy upstairs has the same idea but he's singing "that's amore" in a languageiIcannot rrecognize. I can hear him quite well through the vent. I really want to ask him what language he speaks, but I'm not shouting through the vents like some 60s new york sitcom.

hi everyone

:) That's brilliant.

Hope everyone has some entertainment planned. I think I have my regular Sunday game back on... although the GM might be taking more breaks this year.

Hello aeglos.

Bluh, I hate having too many character concepts.

not at all. Disney junior has some interesting stuff.

Besides, good ideas and inspiration can be found anywhere.

Well, I managed to fall asleep around noon, and at least the tummy don't feel like the skin has been stretched like a drum skin anymore.

You were mentioned by my wife in a dream last night . I can't recall the gist of the conversation, but it was in an off handed way, like, "say hi to the lpm for me" or something. I twas weird.....

Just don't start having weird sex dreams about me and we're good, Solnes is free game in dreams however.

This is why I vote lpm.

Will or will not PF Online Kickstarter get missing $160 thousands in 30 hours?

I'm not sure who in our group has the worse gameplan: the butterfly net with cold iron and silver fishhooks threaded into it, or rope + bear trap + weapon blanch.

I hate selkie stories. They're always about how you went up to the attic to look for a book, and you found a disgusting old coat and brought it downstairs between finger and thumb and said "What's this?", and you never saw your mom again.

Not gonna lie, though. It would fit the KM group very well to pull that.

Ouch!

What sink ie bathroom? Kitchen?

And,....if it's the kitchen, get the special wrench that bends; that's my best advice from a "layman" who fixed a kitchen sink. AND, if it looks like a 15 minute job on Youtube, it's really going to take you two days, because if your sink's like mine, there's really bizarre stuff going on there.

And look at youtube videos........

And I'm scared to give advice; my actual success was probably due to sheer luck and an extremely anally retentive individual's bizarrely neurotic perspicacity.

I don't get it.

From my reading of it, she hates the stories because it actually happened to her.

Naah, it was all good. I used to do some plumbing work. Just took a little time. Faucet's all put in place and working fine. I even fixed the few leaky spots.

Plus, I learned from one of the best home repair do it yourselfers I the planet - my dad.

This gave me the best laugh I've had in a long time. I haven't clicked the link yet, but your description is right on.

Aw, then you hit me with a sad story. Meanie.

Yeah, I know. And all my favourite love-songs or stories are ones about break-ups. It's beginning to get a bit worrying.

Just a light smattering of now here. Where the foot-paths have been gritted, the machine must have dropped some oil as there are beautiful rainbows/ spectra upon the paths.

I hope everyone else's day is as lovely.

Quiet morning.

It's c-c-c-cold. 14 F. The news media used to present the temps in F/C format in an attempt to edykate us Muricans, but they don't anymore. Guess they gave up.

So it was in the 60's Saturday and a father took his sons, 10 & 8, on a hike through the forest in shorts and t-shirts. They got lost, it got dark, temps plummeted. They were found dead Sunday morning on the trail with temps in the 20's. Crazy.

Where the frak is winter?? It's foggy and rainy in Brooklyn today. I want my 6 feet of snow!

=(

14 F is about -10 C - so cold, but not in the effing freezing range.

And that thing about the hiking family is sad.

Have to admit that the weather "Brooklyn" conjures up in my mind is either rain and fog or sweltering summer days. I blame Hollywood.

Where?

In Huntington. Lots of new and used stock. It's a really nifty, independent place called Book Revue.

Move to the Great Lakes if you want snow. You live on the coast; deal with it.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Nice weekend, if a bit rainy, cold this morning and heading back toward "normal" winter weather. Brr.

We got a little snow here in Colorado Springs, but it's pretty nippy at ~ 7F (-14C) not counting wind chill.

I am of the persuasion that if you go into any kind of wilderness, you prepare for what you can prepare for. I got why illustrated amazingly well when walking in the mountains in July one summer a number of years ago. I was about a mile away from both possible rest stop houses on a sweltering day, when suddenly the horizon turned gray-white, clouds drew in, and a the temperature plummeted. I put on a warm shirt, an anorak, gloves... And when that was done, the blizzard had begun. Walking a mile wasn't much of a hassle for me, and the rest stop house was warm. There were large drifts of snow and very little visibility, and hypothermic people in thin shirts started dropping in. The rest house was packed. The next day, the weather was fine, and sadly, we heard that a family had died from exposure.

When in foreign territory, respect the local rules. Even if it means wearing a heavy backpack.

We has no snow either. -.-

I can't complain too much as I refer to my car not so affectionately as the slip-n-slide as it has no traction on wet or icy roads. But the kidlet is very, very sad.

+1

This family was in well-known territory in Ozark woodlands, not in the mountains. I think it was a matter of overconfidence. Familiarity breeds contempt, and all that jazz. Lord knows I've gone out in the morning without a jacket and been chilly by the time I returned home. It's not so fatal in the suburban outback, though.

Don't feel bad. I blame the media. There aren't enough reruns of Gilligan's Island. If there's one thing I learned from that show, it's that sometimes a 3 hour tour isn't just a 3 hour tour.

LOL!

Diane gives me a good natured hard time about always having things like tools, sleeping bag, trauma kit, fire extinguisher etc. in my trunk.
