Hey there Treppa. Tell the Puffin that I hope things are going well for him.

Hey, should the FHDM's innards be full of green and orange tendrils? Oh, and a yellow-green goo?
I didn't know that FHDM was a minion of Moander. Since when did the Darkbringer come back to life?

Since when its minions haven't tried to get it back to life by spreading and infecting others?

Ask Finder and Alias about that. They are the ones to tell us.

~looks down~ Oh. Where did my scales go this time?

Since his gig at Fraggle Rock ended.

Good to see you back, Moorluck and CJ. :)

Hope the rest of you are having a good thanksgiving. I skipped the cooking this year and we had dinner at Buca di Beppo instead. The turkey was a bit dry but everything else was good.

I'm still going to make a turkey at some point soon. I like turkey. When it's not dry. But it's a lot less trouble when you don't have to make six different side dishes to go with it. :)

Went shopping this morning. It felt weird shopping on Thanksgiving, but if the store is open, why not? And I needed new pants (in a smaller size, yay) so it was a good chance to avoid crowds. And now I have no temptation to brave the crowds tomorrow. Christmas shopping works best when done over the internet, IMO. Then again, I'd do my grocery shopping over the internet if I could get away with it. :P

And now back to homework. Which would be easier to finish if visual studio would stop crapping out on me. :(

That is the point of it, but FHDM is just being irrational.

Regretfully all the participants have to cover their travel costs and accomodation.

Still, if anyone would happen to come to it let me know. I have absolutely nothing to do with it (aside of one of the organizers being my former player and GM) but it will be taking place in my city.

FHDM has an acute imagination. But he can be a bit obtuse.

And apparently it just isn't thanksgiving without family drama :(

Had a huge fight with my dad over the phone. It's likely to get worse before it gets better. If it gets better. :/

Happy Turkey-induced coma day to all FaWtL-ies!

Every once in a while, I just have to step back, and be grateful for all I have.

:)

BEst wishes to all! NOW Back to the James Bond marathon! :D

I am sorry to hear that. Hopefully things get better between you and your Dad.

Huh, wasted last evening watching 90% of all the bad endings from Fate Stay Night.

Unsurprisingly (for me at least), I feel fine despite seeing even the most horrifying ones. =D

I feel kind of bothered by my ability to feel unfazed by most horror stuff.

Hell, last time I felt genuinely disturbed by something was when I played Silent Hills 2 and 3.

I wonder if my sister should have an alias as well.

...wait, that'd mean she'd steal my spotlight! This must not happen!!

Too late, I am already here. My profile isn't done yet, though.

That's because he is intergral to the conundrum.

Sorry, to hear that. Hope things are resolved quickly and it didn't completely ruin the day.

To everyone else, Hope your day was marvellous and much tasty food was consumed.

Last year, I did Guiness and rosemary basted turkey for Thanksgiving it was scrumptuous.

How'd you fix it? We normally deep fry our bird but this year Solnes wanted to grill ours. We'll see. :S
Why...would you deep fry a turkey?

Crisp flavorful skin, tender juicy meat, takes less time... maybe if you get down here again I'll fire up the deep fryer and treat you to one. :)

Besides, I'm southern.... we deep fry everything. ;)

you can deep fry a whole turkey? won't it be to crisp outside before beeing ready inside?

and how big a deep fryer do you have??

Yes you can deep fry the whole bird, the skin comes out crisp and golden, the meat inside is melt in your mouth fantastic.

My 5 gallon fryer could handle a bird up to about 18 pounds, takes half the time and once you get the oil to the right temp it cooks through because the oil cooks it from the inside at the same time it cooks the outside.

Shatner on deep frying turkey...

Captain Kirk had to do a cautionary video for State Farm Insurance.

I personally wouldn't attempt it. I like my skin too much.

Nah, it's easy. I've done it for 20 years and have yet to have an accident. You just want to keep the dogs and kiddies away from the fryer.

Of course Masterbuilt now has an oil-less, indoor deep fryer that I'm very interested in getting once money allows.

And thanks for the welcome backs. I missed you guys too. :D

Now I have a termite job I have to go knock out today before Solnes goes in to work for the night.

I've heard rumours of a zombie running around here.

Perhaps I will have to start an investigation on the matter.

But would she be able to differentiate the positives from the negatives?

Also, good morning FAWTLY Folk! I hope everyone had a decent Turkey Day.

I didn't have a Turkey Day, since I'm Finnish.

Also, my Cleric of Pharasma character is on a zombie hunt D=

Scarab Sages

Normally this would be a day off for me, but instead it'll be an off day. Charlie had us up at 0400 - he's still a bit off from that stomach bug he had, but he's getting better. He's also got a bit of a cold, and that's been waking him up early every day.

Also, I've got to go into work for a bit to make sure my orders are through, since there were some problems on Wednesday. And then there's the washing clothes and packing for the trip.

Turkey? I haven't eaten turkey in ages.

Scarab Sages

Weird, though. When our security dude gave me the usual destination brief, he warned me that Japan currently has a thing about people bringing in cough medicine. For some reason it's been bugging them.

Only half an hour left before the weekend starts for me!!

Blast it, we had to cancel tomorrow's Pathfinder game.

I'll see if I can gather some folks for the Battlestar Galactica boardgame to fill the gaming void.

weeeeekeeeeeend

Hi everyone

Silver Crusade

I had a fun turkey day. It was a good time with good company.

I was not pleased with my turkey, but everyone else either did not care or was too polite to comment. I checked the temperature when I thought it should be done, and the meat thermometer said it was still undercooked, so I decided to give it another 30 minutes. Then I went to check the temperature again and could not find my meat thermometer, so grabbed a different one and it was way over temperature. I think that first one was faulty. The turkey was unpleasantly dry to my taste. Then again, I was the only one eating white meat, so maybe the dark meat was less dry.
