Don't care. Morning is the one time you shouldn't be denied your preferred form of caffeine ingestion. I would be very, very upset if forced to take tea or coffee instead of my usual soda. I wouldn't dare do likewise to anyone else.

Mornings are bad enough even when you can get caffeine the way you want it. To take that away... no, unthinkable. Unforgivable.

I actually LIKE tea. I actually PREFER tea.

BUT, I am now addicted to coffee.

<Takes proffered tea gratefully, uses it to wash out the taste of his morning coffee.>

Ah, THAT'S better! Best of both worlds! :D

I don't mind tea. The problem is the stuff DSX and Kaj are offering is not tea.

It's that disgusting, bitter, served-hot stuff the Europeans like for some unfathomable reason.

Tea should be iced frigid, sweet enough that one more spoonful of sugar will make your hair stand on end, and maybe have some lemon in it.

;)

Found a thing for you!
KILL IT!!! KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!!!
But pouring soda on fire puts out fire...
True, but extreme heat + soda can = fun explodey time. :P

Just wait until your kid decides to do that indoors...

*gave up on working with pre-school kids for a reason, y'know*

And it had nothing to do with me being naked.

Added to the list of reasons I am happy I will never reproduce =D

Ah, well that explains the reaction! :)

Personally, while I do not entirely disagree with you,
Being a borderline diabetic, I have given up on sugar entirely, (purely for health reasons)
and there are some hot teas that I like! :)
Of course, I DO drink them with sweetener, which may or may not cause some Europeons alarm,...
;P

To paraphrase a rather sexist earlier post of mine (apologies for that), "Good tea should be like a nice girl: hot and sweet."

Spoiler:
(And also have a shade of milk added to it - but that don't fit the quote ...most of the time.)

Duh. Tea should be black, hot and sweet (sweet like having an actual sugar not some sweetener substitute - if I ever get diabetes and will have to cut on sugar I will stop drinking tea instead of using sweetener, they are awful). Lemon optional.

Fifteen minutes until the boards go down.

I drink most black and orange teas as God intended: with sugar and cream. Most times, it will do for a meal. Many specialty teas are exceptions, of course. Jasmine, Earl Grey, Lapsang Souchon, Formosa Oolong - all these should be had straight.

*looks around*

shouldn't the boards be down today?

and black tea (preverably Ostfriesen Mischung) hot, with a drop of milk and a small piece of rock sugar

Oh how I long for the days of old-school movie theater style popcorn. That was the stuff. Loads of salt and some butter! My highshcool had popcorn machine which made that stuff. When I first started there, they'd sell it in big bags for 25 cents.

That makes sense when you remember that back in those days, coffee was a dime, a phone call was a nickel, and Truman was in the White House.

I like my tea like I like my men. Hot, black, and bitter.

So you like FHDM?

FHDM seems to be hateful, not bitter.

Eh, they call 'em orange. It's a pekoe.

The boards are not down yet? Gary is teasing us.

Ah, ok, carry on then.

Or we will discover that everything we post after 18:00 Pacific Time will get removed when he will restart the messageboards.

I can see it.

It's ALIVE!!!

Speaking of Babylon 5 (as I did, several hours ago) - looks like we've found Centauri Prime. (Though the story doesn't mention anything about it being populated by garishly dressed men and bald women.)

Ok, so what has changed?

Hey now! I'm not that old. It was Reagan.

Also: Huzzah that Paizo is back!

Good to see boards back up.

The board is back and I am going down.

*yawn*

Good night folks. Tomorrow around noon I have to make a call about potential job.

Liberty's Edge

I've been playing Skyrim a LOT recently, and I've noticed something. The things I enjoy most about the game aren't killing dragons and exploring dungeons, but instead are mundane things like trading, getting married, buying the house, and earning the respect and trust of the townsfolk. Is this game filling voids in my personal life, or am I imagining all of this?

Wow, this sounds pathetic on second reading...

Sovereign Court

Eh, don't carry it too far. It means you like that sort of thing, or enjoy it. I wouldn't overanalalyze it, though. :)

Skyrim. It's like Animal Crossing, but with dragons.

*yawns* Morning already?

Had a strange dream about half-real gaming session. Some kind of glyph, monster-fighting discussion about slam attacks and attacks of opportunity...

Good morning FAWTLY Folk!! Happy Wednesday!

Scarab Sages

My kid has been really damn bad about the whole Momma's Boy thing lately. It's kind of getting to be a pain in the ass. I mean, seriously, does it really f~!*ing matter who gets the damn crackers out and hands them to him?

Scarab Sages

Got to do better on my Will saves to stay out of that Navy Rail Gun thread. I'd hate to become some douche who just sits there ready to call people out on minor little errors.

Scarab Sages

Besides, sometimes misinformation is a good thing.

Scarab Sages

And I think I'm finally done with that Revolution show. I continue to be vastly underwhelmed.

Scarab Sages

I really dislike my wife's driving.

They see your every move.

At work now. Back in a bit to post my bacon fact.

Oooooh a bacon fact! Other than it's soft and tasty, I cannot think what else you need to know.

However I am on tender-hooks awaiting it.

And to everyone, I hope you are having a good day and that it will continue to be the case.

It's not that you have inside navy engineering information about that, right?

Scarab Sages

Meh, today's bacon post was just a quote. But it mentions bacon, so that's good enough.
