Gun enchanted with Distance bonus

If you enchant a gun with the Distance ability (PF phb, page 470)

"Distance: This special ability can only be placed on a ranged weapon. A distance weapon has double the range increment of other weapons of its kind.
Moderate divination; CL 6th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, clairaudience/clairvoyance; Price +1 bonus.

Will this allow the first range increment to be doubled??

It sounds like it will.

resolves against the target’s touch AC. At higher range increments, the

Distance Pistol = now first range 40 feet
Distance Musket = now first range 80 feet

Yeah, that should work.


Yeah all they did was include the normal range rules with the new penetration rules for firearms.


Also Flaming Burst (+2 magic bonus) or Frost Burst (+2 magic bonus), might be great enchantments for guns. (page 470)

1d6 extra elemental damage per hit

On a Confirmed Critical + 3d10 extra damage.
