The weapon training might have been better to hard-code as "at level 5 the tengu blademaster gets +1 to hit and damage with swordlike weapons and his bite attack, this bonus increases to +2 at level 17."
Just um, spread your wings, don't peck at any previous concerns and by all means.... don't give your followers the bird.

Okay, so since I failed my will save vs. pun, I guess it's only fair I comment on the archetype here.
Jerall, this did get one of my votes. I am, admittedly, a huge tengu fan, so that influenced me, but not by too much; it was a while before I commuted myself to this. Mainly because it was so specific an archetype; I wasn't sure about voting for a racially-limited concept, even if it was a race I'm massively fond of. But I finally reasoned that, even if they don't exist now, sooner or later it's likely that elf, dwarf, halfling, etc. themed archetypes will show up in some Pathfinder supplement or another, so really- you're just getting in ahead of the crowd. :-) That plus the fact that mechanically speaking, this is one of the tighter/more balanced designs this round, and I was won over. Good job, man.
