Cavalier - the skill monkey of the warrior class?

I keep coming back to this nugget from the APG and like what I see a lot. Feats-wise/class features wise they are ok, not great... but its the 4 skill points a level and the wide range of social skills and general skills (considering they get another 2 class skills at 2nd level) make it intreging to me. You factor in 12 Int and Human and its 6 skill points a level.

Anyone else use the Cav as a 'Faceman' or social class in addition to its warrior benefits?

Absolutely.

The cavalier I play is a Human. With 6sp per level and his social skills he can rub shoulders with anyone. A TWF (sword n board) Order of the shield member, his dad's a Paladin of Imodae (quite disappointed his son was not 'Chosen')

He is sorta a 'peoples champion' who layeth the smack down on bad guys. But unlike certain chars is not vein. Disdain's nobility who are blind to the people. Fun
