Is it me or does the the Call Celestial Ally ability give these paladins an overwhelming ability?
If i read this right you are basicly getting a leadership feat level cohort with exceptional abilities for free. (at lvl 8 you can have you very own hound archon "pet").
Obviously most DM's will make sure this is not as abusive as it seems but if i read the spell right you could use it to call a level 6 Aasimar of whatever class you would like as it's lesser version.

It seems a bit much if the paladin doesn't have to pay the usual recompense to the ally. I would want to add "The ally can perform a task taking up to 1 minute per level". Otherwise, the skipped payment at 8th level would be 10% or more of the paladin's wealth by level, which seems an excessive saving. It doesn't much limit the casting time of some of the more problematic spells an ally might have, but at least it might limit it to only casting one of them.
And here i was considering a Paladin of Shelyn with the ability to summon his Aasimar harem babe of the week :P
