Where is Classically Trained for Fighters?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I have seen several times a reference to an option for fighters called "Classicaly Trained". In exchange for their first level bonus feat they got 4 Skill points per level and I believe different skills as class skills.

Can anyone tell me where this is found?

It is in the campaign setting book. Each class has different options you can use.

Do you mean Pathfinder Chronicles: Campaign setting (OGL)?

Chronicles Campaign Setting

Asking because it says it is getting replaced by Pathfinder Campaign Setting: World Guide—The Inner Sea (PFRPG) Hardcover

Pathfinder Campaign Setting: World Guide—The Inner Sea (PFRPG) Hardcover

And I guess this is more of a Paizo question but is that going to be in the newer version due out in February?

Yeah the chronicles campaign is the one. The variants won't be in the new version though.

1 feat for 2 additional skill points / level... a bit too strong, don't you think? ;)

what if it was +3 skill points at first level and +1 for every level after level 3....

Sovereign Court

That's just because the campaign setting is in 3.5. I would convert it to 1 extra skill point per level because Pathfinder has gotten rid of that x4 skill points at 1st level nonsense.

I was referencing the toughness feat, which works that way now and I see no reason why someone willing to expend a feat couldn't have more skill points between levels one and three.

Really it just gives them more versatility, I would maybe think about taking that feat for a class that lacked them.

Not when you have 2 and that crap skill list. For a rogue it would be, for a fighter its barely worth the feat

I gotta agree. Now if it allowed you to add 2 skills of your choice that would be different.
