witch hex question

My question is very simple. How does the witch's disguise hex work? Is the ability hours per day, per lvl, at will but most be at least an hour? Many thanks if anyone can clear this up for me, very interested in making a witch at the moment.

Disguise (Su): A witch can change her appearance for a number of hours equal to her class level, as if using disguise self. These hours do not need to be consecutive, but they must be spent in 1-hour increments.

I let the Witch stop it whenever they like, and just round up to a whole hour. Five minutes? Mark one hour off. Fifty-nine minutes? That's an hour too.

I'm sorry if this is frustrating, its just to me the ability sounds like its per lvl, which is stupid. From what I'm understanding now is that a 3rd lvl witch with this hex can per say change her appearance for up to 3 hours before the disguise would fall. after the disguise falls could the witch then spend a standard action to reapply the disguise for another 3 hours or would they not be able to use the ability again until the next day?

I can understand your confusion, rereading the hex it doesn't seem to say when or if it actually refreshes itself.

I'm pretty sure the intent was to have it work a number of hours per day equal to your level, using that time up in 1 hour increments as others have explained.

So as a 3rd level Witch, you can spend 3 hours of each day disguised, splitting them up into 1 hour increments however you wish.

Thank you. I was confused by the fact the refreshing wasn't stated, which is very odd for a class feature. I will go on the assumption that its per day. Thanks for the understanding and the help.

It doesn't? I've read it a dozen time and I always remembered it saying "per day."

I could have sworn the same thing, but it really truly doesn't. Just look at bigkilla's post above. No mention of 'per day'.

This very reason is why I had raised the original question about the ability. It seems to be missing important parts
