so i decided to try and beef up a eidolon. math was as follows
quadruped 14 str, lvl 20 +8 str, +3 base abil increase, +16 str Huge size, +8 evolution abil increase = 49 (51 if biped)
which then lead me to carry capacity for quad
44736 lbs= light
134400 lbs= heavy
403200 lbs= cast ant haul
??? = how much would it be if u cast enlarge person on it? making it gargantuan, i think the str bonus doubles again to a +32 but not sure, if so would be 65 quadruped (67 biped)
817152 lbs= light
2457600 lbs= heavy
7372800 lbs = ant haul which would be 3686.4 tons (US)
also at lvl 20 u can become a physical copy of ur eidolon, so together (for only 20 min) u could carry 14,745,600 lbs together

I wasn't aware you could cast enlarge person on an eidolon because size increasing effects do not stack and the evolution is a size increasing effect. That is why it says you can pay a certain amount to be huge instead of just saying you can take the large evolution twice
You can stack size increasing effects -- you can't stack polymorph type effects. The bonuses from increasing an eidolon's size with evolution are not size bonuses, and are not polymorph type effects, meaning you can use such effects to increase the eidolon's strength more.
That doesn't mean that all his stacking is correct here (I haven't completely checked yet) -- but the concept works at least.
Here's what I get for maximum for this thing:
Huge size = +16 strength
+8 Strength from Evo (total evo cost at this point is 26 points)
Base Strength for a quad is 14
Level 20 summoner gives +8 strength
+4 strength level adjustments
+4 strength from wishes/books
+6 strength from enchancement bonuses (belts for example)
=14+16+8+8+4+4+6=60 strength
Enlarge person (permanency) = +2 strength = 62 strength.
Heavy capacity for a 22 strength is 520 pounds, every +10 to strength gives x4 on the carry capacity -- which gives the following numbers:
Str -- carry capacity
32 -- 2,080
42 -- 8,320
52 -- 33,280
62 -- 133,120
Now as a quad gargantuan we have x16 on this giving 1,597,440 pounds.
Now we run into some contraversy.
The question becomes mixing multipliers. When you roll you are supposed to subtract one from one of the multipliers then add them together (which is why a critical hit on a spirited charge with a lance does x5 damage). However this isn't a roll -- so there is an argument that anthaul should increase the total we have now by x3. The multiplier effect for rolls would have us increase it by x2.
With the higher multiplier we get: 4,792,320 pounds.
With the lower multiplier we get: 3,194,880 pounds.

Ravingdork wrote:You need to give it a masterwork backpack and muleback cords. As far as I can tell they ALL stack towards increasing your carrying capacity.Don't have my copy available -- what is the bonus for mulebacks so I can include it in the above?
+8 strength for purposes of carrying capacity

So the strength becomes 70: 409,600 pounds before gargantuan quad.
4,915,200 pounds after gargantuan quad.
14,745,600 pounds after anthaul (higher multiplier) = 7,372 tons
9,830,400 pounds after anthaul (lower multiplier) = 4915.2 tons
However being a copy of your eidolon won't give you the same lift capacity since you don't have the eidolon's magical items.

Rovagug.
Certainly explains the Spawns of Rovagug, anyway.
ofcourse...

This reminds me of one of the most awesome RPG quotes I've ever read. It was about some Sci-Fi RPG, where the heroes were pulled through a worm hole or something like that and ended up far away from home (like Voyager, but without a caption that needs an extra escape pod for her hair).
So they established contact with a ship they found and chatted a bit with the aliens, and started to ask them about their ship.
Crew: "So what kind of ship do you have there?"
Aliens: "We're an explorer vessel."
Crew: "Oh, so do you have any weapons?"
Aliens: "Oh yes, but we only have small arms, so we can only destroy small planets."
Crew: O_o
